1) Since we do not have to draw up a new contract for this year, it can not lead to reasonable wage-increase demands from Ronaldinho or Pato

2) It could be something Raiola included to make sure Zlatan still gets the 12 mil/ year for the first year.

Yes, both valid points. Ambiguity regarding the terms benefits all parties involved.
