His contract is up for renewal which means he can sign a precontract starting January. It appears he has agreed to sign with Milan for an amount Atleti are unwilling to pay him but Milan want him in Jan and not next season. It is UNCONFIRMED that he'll come in Jan since Atleti would have to release him and I doubt they'd let their captain and leader walk away when they're still in competition for 3 trophies.

I'm obviously willing to be wrong.
