THE SQUAD. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has all the ressources that Milan, who finished last
year as Vice-Champion in Italian Serie A and also as runners-up in the UEFA Champions
League after the defeat in the penalty shoot-out against Liverpool in Istanbul during May
2005, to do this season even better and improve these performances by winning these
competitions this year.

ALBERTO GILARDINO. The 23-year old striker left FC Parma after the 2004/05 season.
Gilardino scored last year 23 league goals for FC Parma and one decisive goal in the
relegation games against Bologna to prevent his club from relegation. FC Parma received
a transfer fee EUR 24 mio.

Gilardino started his professional career at Piacenza Calcio. In 17 games he scored 3 goals.
But as the club became relegated from Serie A within the season 1999/2000 he moved to Hellas Verona. In his two season at Verona during 2001 and 2003 he played 39 games and scored 5 goals to help the club finish twice on 15th place in Serie A.
In 2003 he moved to Parma. Parma is widely known for his signing of young potential players on
every position. So Gilardino was only one of Parma's great bargains after Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus central defender Fabio Cannavaro (once to Inter), Inter striker Adriano, Juventus striker Adrian Mutu (once to Chelsea) and Juventus defender Lilian Thuram.

MILAN. This year Gilardino is already on a good way to confirm his scoring record in Italian
Serie A. 11 goals from 15 games gives him the honour of topscorer of the league. But there
is also one thing THEFR has to mention.
Gila as he is nicknamed by the Rossoneri has completely missed out to score on Big Games.
He scored his goals against teams like Cagliari, Empoli, Messina and Livorno. He has totally
missed out against Inter, Juve and the complete UEFA Champions League campaign.

Cafu is still in Brasil because of his father and Maldini is slightly injured...he is training but only in the gym for now...He will not play on sunday and if he does it's very risky for him...
Pippo himself hasn't fully recovered from the muscle strain he suffered before the break...

Maybe we will switch to 4-4-2 , Kaka plays better like AM than CF .. is Maldini fit for the game ? I want to see also Max involved in the game..

Why don't you use Pirlo ? By the way, Rui Costa is not good at play on the right-wing. Kaka+Gila+Sheva is very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tongue:

I agree. Marek was a HELL from the left in Udinese and i think the injury cut him all.
I think that we made a mistake buying him injured with broken leg.
No one in the world buys injured players. His injury was serious!

I don't think injure is the most important reason that Marek can't play.
I think the most important is our coach doesn't give him enough chance.
Marek in and Serginho on the bench !

There's nothing wrong to switch our recent a 4-3-1-2 footballing terms into a 4-4-2 which afford more balanced to manage the game. This sort of tactics put us could read the game that earned a important win to make a bit lifeline after disappointing performances had it been recorded we made, like in trashing Livorno away match was an exception. So if we switch to 4-4-2, the line up would be :

I put Simic on the right, this guys isn't Cafu's type whom good crossing into centre backing the attack as good as defend. But Simic has showed us some good performances that proved us wrong so far. He after all can manage to cover up on the right sided, though.

As for Jankulovski, I'd rather see him play as left back alongside Maldini in the centre. I am not written Kaladze's contribution off recently but a versatile player like Jankulovski is damn to good to bench at most times. So I put him more defended spot to assist another attack footballing at left sided behind Kaka. Ambrosini plays an anchor man, to break down/cut off the opposite's passing link around the centre of game. Piro could come up as FIRST playmaker joint exhange role with Kaka whom I put him more concentrate on the left. But I won't the stucked position Kaka would chain him for nothing, he could build-up the game to penetrate into centre midfield as well to create some chances from second line. Let Gattuso plays as his usual role, and the upfront pair either both Gilardino and Sheva manage in finishing touch.

For the substitution : Kalac, Kaladze, Marzoratti, Vogel, Seedorf, and Rui Costa. Pippo, Vieri, Cafu, and Stam might miss the game due to injury.

A good impression in the opening year is a "must" demand for me...

Gatu on the right was good only 2 cover 4 Cafu.

U want a different Kaka then u need 2 play with flanks.
4-4-2 with 2 wingers + 1 DM.
3-5-2 or 5-3-2.

I don’t see much different between 4-3-1-2 & 4-4-2 in Milan since they will field same players.
Kaka will play the same.

We sign him before he broke his leg.
I think he is fit now and in good form,he did very well against Palermo(!?i think it was).
But he don't get enough chances to play.

Yes Yanku crossed the ball for the Inzaghi's winner against Palermo, i was there!God it seems ages ago!!
You are right, Marek should get more chances now that he 's fit, not just the coppa Italia...
