not exactly the #10 we need, but could be a good backup in our CL squad next year

my fav scene of that movie, not even mad

Hakan will disappoint, unfortunately. I would love to be proven wrong, but we'll see.

For me its impossible for Hakan to fail.
His passes even when semi fit is top notch & him passing is all we need/missed.

It will show against tight defensive sides. If he is able to split defenses then great, if he is clueless and with shots like those of against Shkendija then we might have issues.

:fp:
FFS he's one of the best shooters out there. Just one match where he's bad at shooting means jack squat. He has so far 56 goals in 210 matches which is pretty good for a classic no.10 like him.

He kept splitting shit up vs Shkendija multiple times. My concern is our strikers(like Silva) not being able to stop the ball well so many damn times and ruining many chances he created.

This guy knows his shit.
Excellent orientation, technically very good, passing par excellence.
Not a word about free kicks. I expect 4-5 goals just from free kicks.
Creativity which we haven't seen for a long time in this jersey.

Its his chance to ruin!

What I like about him apart from the usual creative and flashy side is that he is willing to get down and dirty with challenges, tackles.

The same match Monto scored twice and Borini scored* He had multiple chances to show his shots and they all sucked. That being said, Hakan is a great free-kick taker so there is no way in hell he sucks at shooting. Could be San Siro pressure.

Well even if he completely fails at scoring goals from open play(which he won't) as long as he's a good playmaker I don't care. Rui Costa sucked at scoring(for us at least) yet he was a god-tier player.

In this game even Suso failed some chances. Better chances than Hakan had I might add. Kind of worried about Suso's finishing actually.

Calhanoglu already assisted a goal...

If he doesn't score, he'll assist. He's a great player, able to unlock defences better than any other player we have.

Not sure why there is doubt about this guy.

I don't care what he has done off the field.

He's probably the greatest creaty input from our left side.

A LW should be a priority & then a vice Kessie.
Keita will do great ... his best position is SS but he can easily adapt to play on the left side.
I honestly dont get it if we didnt get a good CM.
Kucka would have been a good sub for us.

That quality of pass ! can't wait to see him ruling the midfield with Lucas. Suso is good on free kick no problem to alternate. He is trying to find the declic again but for sure it ll be back.

I completely agree with your posts. But my oppinion is that we didnt sign another good cm simply becouse there is no more money. After all we did buy 11 new players. And there will be another winger and one more CM. Most likely a good winger, I hope for Keita, who could be a great player, and a loan or a cheep CM.

We have Bona, Hakan, Loca, Monto, Kessie, Biglia. That is 6 for 3 positions. One more solid player + Jose Mauri and we are good. We cant have so much players.

We have not signed another midfielder, yet. Winger or midfielder, honestly, either one will do. Bona and Hakan can play LW, Bona can go RW as well.

I needed to know the song that Jose Mauri was always posting on his Instagram stories ft Hakan Calhanoglu and i found it......

I know it's not highly relevant but it's pretty catchy but it just looks like the team is forging some pretty cool friendships between the players.

I love it

Apparently, Hakan is from the city where my uncle lives and even from a close neighborhood. He told me that this guy is really simple and humble, not arrogant at all. He still comes by there every time he gets a chance and always goes to play a little football with the kids from youth teams, like my cousin (13 y.o.). Still hangs out with his childhood friends, as if there is no difference between them.

Kudos for that

I'm still so happy we got him.

Excellent player, able to change the game in a second.

It still seems that his transfer flew under the radar.

Isn't it funny that our two signing from Bundesfodder both relatively flew under the radar. Must be why Nostradumbass doesn't remember it happening often.
