Why can they not overturn their decision? The commentators were talking like they couldn't, but surely after seeing the replay it's ridiculous to let it stand?

A referee cannot overrule a decision which has already been taken. Such as giving a penalty after a goal kick. Or an offside after giving the goal. Whatever decision is taken first. Stands.

Oh Mexico c'mon, you're the new England of the day.

Hahaha Heinze slaped the camera after hit his head on it. I hate journalists and cameramen.

Terrible mistake in defense, horrible, you can't do that against Argentina.

Ah ok :head:

Mexico have been completely shaken up by that offside goal, they're a shambles.

True if it pass the time, but in this case he could.

Until that offsides goal, I was completely neutral, though part of me wanted to see the Maradona crazy train keep going (seriously, is half his body weight taken up by his hair?)

But I would like to see Mexico come back in this, make up for the offsides goal, but they need to get their head back in the game, especially the defense. I agree with Capitão Lugano, they are looking a lot like England from earlier :head:

Fuck you Rosetti. Fuck you Osorio. Both goals have been a joke.

That was a shocking shove by Hernandez. Was he even carded? Prolly the post-half-time altercation had to do with that episode.

Mexico are down on luck and talent. I feel for them.

Really football is built on very little details. It's beyond logic, beyond predictions, and way beyond tactics (sadly).

Mexico hit the post, then Argentina scored an offside goal, and then scored another from a stupid defender mistake.

Salcido has been an awesome player this tournament.

A referee can change other decisions in similar circumstances. But he can't take away a goal which has already been awarded.
