I always like to see Merda lose, but I was hoping for them to get out of group stages and continue all the way to the final (and lose there of course), because that would guarantee them dropping more points in the league. Now their chances are pretty slim.

beat palermo and there is little pressure on us

I think thats why we have done well vs big teams so far. Because we have beaten the smaller teams which means there is less pressure on us to win. Manager isnt relying on that result to save his job, we dont have points to make up or gain

Inter cut directors out of meetings

Inter owners Suning reportedly cut Italian directors out of meetings with potential Coaches Marcelino and Stefano Pioli, listening to agent Kia Joorabchian.

The club fired Frank de Boer this week, just four days after President Erick Thohir and CEO Michael Bolingbroke publicly backed the tactician.

This would explain why they are not involved in the decision on who to hire next, especially amid reports Bolingbroke is on vacation and therefore not attending the meetings.

It is well known that within the club director of sport Piero Ausilio and director general Giovanni Gardini support Pioli as the choice for Coach.

However, multiple reports claim they were both cut out of Friday’s ‘casting call’ meetings with Marcelino and Pioli.

Vice-President Javier Zanetti also seemingly did not take part in these encounters.

Representatives from Chinese owners Suning Group, Stevan Zhang, Ren Jun and Yang Yang, flew in on Friday and met Pioli first, then had a lengthy dinner with Marcelino.

The split is so massive that Ausilio's sources leaked to the media that Pioli was the favourite for the job, little realising that Suning were already discussing details with Marcelino.

The Corriere della Sera claims that Suning are listening above all to agent Joorabchian, who does not actually have a contract with Inter, but is on board as an unofficial advisor and does get paid for consultation fees.

Other sources suggest that it’s now a two-horse race for the Inter bench between Marcelino and Pioli.

Meetings with Francesco Guidolin and Vitor Pereira could be cancelled, while Guus Hiddink refused to take part in the casting call process.

He insisted only on talks via telephone and wants to let his CV speak for itself.

Inter host Crotone at San Siro on Sunday evening under the guidance of caretaker manager Stefano Vecchi, who already oversaw the 2-1 Europa League defeat to Southampton on Thursday.

Ultras are planning a protest, this time aiming their ire at everyone from the club hierarchy to the players.

Pretty sure he was also mentioned during the post-Bee negotiation(s) with the Chinese consortium(s). They said he was part of one of the consortiums along with Fosun, but was there even more than one consortium? The investing companies are yet to be revealed. Fosun might be one of them.

We're weeks away from closing the deal and there's no mention of either Fosun or Mendes for months already, not even speculation, and you know how much Italian journalists like to speculate.
