Heard Barca is also trying for him as Abidal replacement .. Most likely he will end up as another of the ugly diving midget army ..

If we sign him it will be good .. He's supposed to be good going forward but defensively a question mark .. He's only 23 but has started getting NT calls from Spain ..

But end of the season Taiwo, Mesbah, Zambrotta should anyway gtfo .. So we'd need couple of fullbacks .. And he's miles better than anything we have ..

not sure he's the right option for milan.

He's definitely a very good player. But he's very short, and plays a la liga style. Unless he literally attacks like Cafu/Roberto Carlos etc. I don't see this player being the right fit for Serie A at FB in a 4 man.

Just my opinion, but I think we can find a better fit at FB for the money he'd cost. Cissokho for one. Coentrao (god knows what'll happen there) as another.

Think if we pay that much for a FB, we should get one who is fully suited for our style and league

If theres 1 valencia player to pursue it's ever Banega-

Always felt that he should always start (when fit) for Argentina as it would help Messi dictate the tempo of their attack. Basically have him in the Xavi role

Despite being short he is VERY GOOD defensively. I would rather have a player who is comfortable on the ball than a mindless brute....

If we can get someone like Asamoah to partner him on the left our problems on that side maybe finally over

It's really irritating how people feel technical players in defense won't work in Serie A

He's been poor for argentina in past. Awful Copa... but this is also his best club season so maybe hes matured.

Undoubtedly best option for CM role in Argentina. Probably will get more chances...

Yeah, you missed my point.

I don't think he's all that strong positionally, gets out of position etc.

The way La Liga teams defend is a lot different from Serie A and Milan. I'm not saying he can't adapt, I just haven't seen him play such systems.

At his quoted price it's a pretty hefty gamble for a player who isn't spectacular in any facet of the game.

Just saying for that price, milan can do better at FB.

No offense, but the names you mentioned aren't that good positionally either

Valencia are actually a pretty decent side when it comes to defending and 15m is the price you gotta pay if you want to have a good player. And Alba has actually worked hard to get to where he is now and that's the kind of player that I will always love at Milan...

Mesbah, zambro n taiwo can all fuck off next season. Only LA 77 n one new wc lb should play for milan. I prefer one balzaretti/cissokho or armero who have a reasonable price tag. Alba is a solud player but he costs way too much, unless g can work a deal by offering valencia didac plus cash from taiwo sale to bring the cost down.

kolarov ftw, alba too fuckin short (hey he is the same height as messi :fp:)

no muscle and no brute force to defend against bigger opponent player like cafu or carlos did

or smart defending like lahm, his best attributes are technical such as good first touch, dribbling and good vision and passing for FB

antonini maybe faster than him in term of acceleration....

Jordi Alba is pretty good LB. Of all the bunches of LB in the world he would be a good choice.

The "Alba is too short" is fucking pathetic bullshit, yes he is small but that doesn't really matter. He has a good positioning so that isn't that big of a deal.

I dont care if he is short, so long as he is adept with his skills and has good positional sense. If he isnt physically strong, then we wont buy him because allegri only wants tenacious, tough tackling, badass players but judging by the way some of the other posters portray him as a world class lb, i would take him in a heartbeat.

Still he is a cheap player. No need for cheap LBs again. Antonini just showed his real worth
