he's meant to be the next MW champ, I'd favor bobby, yoel and weidman(wrestling) against him.

I think he'd beat gastelum mainly because of the major size difference.

As always, fighters without a very good wrestling will have a hard time becoming champs (or staying champs). I think Israel from now on gonna show what he really is about.

I would've been very disappointed if the fight between these two weren't gonna be a showboat fight.

No it won't happen, because both Kelvin and Whittaker would plow forward, and get knocked out silly by his superior striking. Anderson did no such thing, they are very similar counter punchers and canceled each other out.

This match always had more potential to look like a training match, than anything else. My hope was that Anderson would not take it so serious, and try some fancy crap, just to have fun, only to get his head knocked cleaned off.

I if adresanya loses to the winner of the aforementioned fighters then I hope he considers going down to WW. He only weighs 190 on fight night. for a MW that is small. Most MWs are 200 lbs. Some even 205- 209.

according to dana, whittakers recovery should take about 4 weeks, maybe we'll see him vs gastelum in 3-4 months.

That was a pretty bad matchup. I can see why Adesanya played it safe. For his next fight I hope to see him fight someone a bit more rounded.

That's exactly what Brunson kept saying before their match up. Now i'm not saying that he is as good as Whittaker, but he is not as weak as you might perceive him.

I think he is deceptively strong, like Bones with his chicken legs and arms.

That seems to be the prototype fighter to beat him, same as Anderson.

Wrestler with decent enough striking to not do anything stupid.

I never understood why DC is so adamant than cain is the GOAT HW etc, how can someone so competitive believe that? I never bought it when it's so clearly fedor or even DC himself.

maybe cain was better than DC/fedor for a short while before he started getting injury after injury, but being GOAT is about a body of work. DC and fedor have had better careers at HW.

I think Cain is probably very good at wrestling and the various drills during training. I have heard how dominant he is in terms of wrestling and sparring. However, that does not make him the GOAT, even if it's in DC's opinion.

Quite frankly, being hurt so much disqualifies him from the GOAT conversation.

this is what i thought too but Cain was wincing in pain when his leg buckled though after overstepping and sort of contorting his left foot whilst trying to grab ngannou. The shots from ngannou only grazed his head post the knee buckling. I would like to see a rematch if possible but I know it won't happen.
DC is and always was aka's best fighter and is amongst the top 3 best HWs of all time. DC is just being humble when he mentions that Cain is greatest which is definitely not true now lol.

I don't really see why Cain is emphasizing "I beat myself".

Even if he hurt his knee and that's what caused him to go down, he didn't hurt his knee out of some freak accident rather it was to deal with N'Gannou's punches. Very poor sportsmanship.

He is not really wrong, just a big douche about it. Nothing will ever beat his top douchiness when he tried to speak Mexican, but i digress.

If his knee would have been ok, there would be a good chance he could have continued after that punch from N'gannou. Its not like he caught him flush with a big shot.

He didn't buckle his knee moving around freely though, it was because of Francis' punches.

If someone is stuck positionally due to a submission threat in BJJ and rolls awkwardly to avoid the submission and in turn hurt himself, he still lost to the other guy's technique and not admitting it just makes himself look bad in this situation.
