This . Club has been in decline since 07 - even then there was no plan for moving forward, just relying on ageing legends and kaka

I said the same thing a few months ago and half of the forum laughed.

B&G ruled for 30 years and the last 10 years were pure shit although we won Serie A once. Elliott will need another decade to fix their shit but sure, let's suck B&G dicks.

People here were laughing with 'old' Ribéry but he and Chiesa made us look like Primavera kids.

This forum's Logic:
Ribéry 36 year old? Not good enough! Modric 34 years old? Pass!

These guys alone toy around with all of our midfield together. Of course Ribéry would have been amazing to have. It's something I just can't understand. You're willing to keep players like Suso, Hakan and Kessie who have been underperforming on a constant base, and who are clearly not good enough, but when a deal like Ribéry pops up, nobody moves.

If you never played football yourself, it's hard to understand how important experience on the pitch is. Knowing that there is someone next to you who has seen it all on the highest level gives a moral boost. It's good for the confidence of the whole team and it gives a secure feeling. We don't have anyone like that.

ribery problem is age and injury history. try imagine what would be happen here if he would be out after 3 games for 3 months.
also in 4312 he wouldnt fit, and in for acm he would ask higher wage than 2m.
modric never said he would come to milan so why even talk about it? people rumors use as facts...

maldini and boban get more hate than inter rejects who waste 200 millions on average players - musa, kessie and hakan (3 best one) are last in starting 11.
coincidence on the forum where people praise inter every season?

Ribery and Modric would struggle with these players. You're talking like they're the missing pieces. The team is shit from back to front and front to back.

I could make a 5/6 maybe 7 (but that is pushing it) a-side team out of the players who we should keep and bin the rest.

Yes, I agree, we should've signed an experienced world class player this summer. Modric, Godin or Ibrahimovic are some of the players that would've fit the quota.

Hell, even keeping Abate would've done something, too.

Having the youngest starting XI/squad for a team that is fighting for Champions League football in Serie A is a recipe for death in the short term.

How did they do well when we all rated it 6/10 or lower?

Nah, it went up to 8/10 according to the commode after the Rebic signing.

ribery problem is age and injury history. try imagine what would be happen here if he would be out after 3 games for 3 months.
also in 4312 he wouldnt fit

Umm, yes he would.
He's far too good to fail in a central role, as we saw yesterday where he had a free role up top together with Chiesa in a 3-5-2.

I don't think the club should regret not signing Ribery though(and Modric was not an option since he wanted to stay).
Hiring Giampaolo, not accepting bids over 20m for Suso, not signing a RW, wasting money on Duarte instead of keeping Zapata. Those were the mistakes.

I wouldn't rule out any of Bennacer and Krunic succeeding here, but if we're sticking with 3 man midfield then Bennacer is not the anchor we needed to replace Biglia.

The trajectory of our team and our story would have been very different if we had spent like the 2 million Parma payed and the wage we paid to the likes of Mauri of 1 million on Gervinho.

For a couple of seasons we missed a LW and that was mostly what we needed to qualify for CL. It was such a big miss since we could have been in Champions League these seasons we played Borini, Hakan and even Samu as left wingers

Giampaolo caused his own downfall starting with his crappy selection for Udinese. He behaved like a total idiot and would have been justified to have been sacked right after that disgusting performance. I would have fired him after the derby (at the latest) and we could be on 12 points by now and in the thick of the champions league.

I started saying after the 2nd game giving him more time will not solve any thing. It only postpones the inevitable while pouring our season down the drain.

The problem isn’t that he needs time, it’s that he is in over his head and totally out of his depth and that’s a problem that can’t be fixed with time.

I keep hearing these nonsensical arguments that's all entire squad is shit.. this is absolutely not the case it doesn't apply to anyone even who you think the worst players might be whether it's Ricardo Rodriguez or Suso.

Anyway the squad is not irredeemable. Our squad is not a 9th to 6p squad we are well-equipped in terms of personnel to fight for the champions league. The proof of this is our missing the CL by one point with a worse and squad. We now have pacy attackers for either wing in Rebic and Leao. We have a dynamic CM in Bennacer. These were widely known to be the missing pieces in Gattuso's setup.

So what the fuck is the problem? I'll tell you what the problem is the problem is they're not being managed :mb:

Not being managed means we're not being coached the not being motivated .. again can you imagine Conte putting up with that stunt Suso pulled in the Derby? I can bet my left nut that if he scored he'd have stayed on.... but if he didn't score like he didn't score he would have been hooked to teach him a lesson

There's no discipline in the squad absolutely everyone plays as they want (even GP remarked about this). There is no motivation and no one buys into his philosophy get this guy out!
Out with the fucking junk

This is absurd! :fp:

what we need is proper management (again le duh )

Even gattuso has proven to be a better manager than Jim Polo this is this has to stop this absolutely has to stop this we're not terrible know we have enough tools to make

I'm weary from seeing this nonsense for fuck's sake

Giampaolo has done something extraordinary. We really suck big time. We spent 500 m since June 2017 and we look worse than Genoa. Not everyone can achieve that. It takes special knowledge and expertise.

What really strikes me is the massive fall of Kessie and Suso. None of them has even been a great player but they truly look like shit since the beginning of the season. Suso has 0 goals and 1 assist, while Frank has nothing. Both lose the ball left and right and kill our attacks 5 times a game each. What is even more surprising is that Kessie has been shit in defense too. He used to roam up and down the right wing pushing and kicking everyone while now his defensive contribution is close to nonexistant. On the other hand he is usually in front of Suso when we are pressing :fp::lol:

I´m not very impressed with Rebic and I don't think he would be better than Samu or Suso, especially on the wrong side (he is SS/LW)

Leo looks solid at LW, we needed a direct, striker-ish LW. Wouldn't mind playing him as CF with Rebic as LW but playing Leao at LW is definitely not wrong.

Absolute mess. The players so obviously have no idea what to do so lose the ball all the time, shoot from outside the box and foul to stop dangerous attacks or out of frustration.

Agreed. Leao at LW is one of the few things that is working in the team, although seeing his performance yesterday I would be tempted to try and get him on the ball as much as possible and in dangerous positions as often as possible. Also Piatek in the centre is not working right now so I would like to see Leao there and Rebic on the left.

Even Gattuso?? Look Rino had many flaws as a coach but by Godfrey he made this team sweat and work. Even Bakayoko who is totally lost presently was excellent under his guidance. 1 point off 4th was a fine job under the circumstances and I'd have him back here right now if no one better was available. I think we need to do away with this need for champagne for a while and be PRACTICAL. Forget all of these "systems" and just focus on WINNING. When we do manage to qualify for the damned UCL THEN we can't think about reestablishing our brand of champagne and caviar. To hell with possession football let us play with pace, directness and intensity and WIN.
Everything else will follow...

There is tension inside AC Milan as Zvonomir Boban and Paolo Maldini disagree about the future of head coach Marco Giampaolo, a report claims.

The Rossoneri’s crisis deepened on Sunday night as Vincenzo Montella’s Fiorentina won 3-1 at San Siro to condemn Milan to a fourth defeat in six to begin the season.

That represents their worst start to a campaign in over 80 years, and pressure is growing on Giampaolo with no clear game plan on show yet again.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, there is evidence of tension between Maldini and Boban just in the difference between their recent comments in the media.

After the Derby della Madonnina defeat to Inter two weeks ago, the Croatian insisted that there is no time to waste and that a quick turnaround is needed.

However, on Sunday night Maldini confirmed his full trust in the head coach and insisted that patience is needed from supporters.

The Calciomercato report suggests that there are ‘two different opinions on Giampaolo inside the club’.

Owners Elliott Management are ‘convinced that they have entrusted the club to the best possible management’, but that defeat against Genoa could spell goodbye for Giampaolo.

It's not like you couldn't see this would happen when you give the most important roles in the club to 2 inexperienced rookies.
