I'd be glad to see Max in in Squadra Azzura. I wonder how many sides in the world can boast of having a bench with the likes of Max and Costa.

It's nice to see that finally many people are starting to opt for Max and are willing to give him their trust. I've never seen a player who's been so underestimated and I'm honestly tired of seeing his talent wasted on the bench.

If Carlo still doesn't trust him this year, he will be officially ********.

[font=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Milan’s Massimo Ambrosini has set himself the objective of being included in Italy’s 2006 World Cup squad.

The midfielder has lost his way in the national set-up recently after struggling to become a first team regular at the San Siro.

But Ambrosini has told Azzurri boss Marcello Lippi that he is looking to seriously impress him this term.

"The new season will be fundamental for my return to the national side," said the tough tackling ace.

"I really want to take part at the World Cup Finals in Germany next summer."

Ambrosini has made a good start to that objective by showing some fine form in pre-season for his club.

"You need to be in good physical shape and show consistency, these are ingredients to being at your best," he added.

"However, you can’t possibly make a claim to a regular first team shirt in August. We’ll see what happens."

Although Ambrosini won nothing with Milan in 2004-05, he believes last term’s ‘failure’ will be of great help.

"We need to play with the same intensity as last year," he continued following their inability to win Lo Scudetto or the Champions League.

"Now we just need to think about Ascoli and go out there and win the first game of the season."

I think Ambro is just a solidly Midfielder, he has no good handling with the ball and no ideas in playing forward! He just can play as Defensive Midfielder! Compared with Ambro is Seedorf a genius!

Ambro can't play forward?! are u mad!? He's Milan's best midfielder in attack! Great ability with headers and knows how to penetrate, especially in dead-ball situations and crosses

best midfielder in attack? i dont think so. He scores a number of goals trough headers but lacks the vision, passing range, speed, skills to be a good attacking player. He is however a good holding player and a ball winner.

ps:

hmmm ive noticed the term "is better then seedorf" being used a lot in this forum. It looks like he is going to be used as a benchmark for defining players who had a bad game or suck this season.

I really don't like Seedorf, but I don't think Ambro should replace him on the left at the same time Gatusso plays on the right, because they're both DM and we won't create shit. I have two possible solutions:
1. Ambro instead of Gattuso on the right and Seedorf on the left
2. Ambro instead of Seedorf on the left and Vogel instead of Gattuso on the right
These should work in a 4-3-1-2.
There may be other possibilities available if Ancelotti changes his tactics.
In a 3-4-1-2 we could have something like this:

-----Stam-----Nesta------Maldini-------

--Gattuso----Pirlo----Ambro---Serginho-

----------------Kaka-------------------

-----Gila------------------Sheva-------

,where Vogel could sometimes replace Gattuso and Seedorf *at rare times could replace Serginho. This formation would surely beat teams that use a defensive 4-5-1, the teams that always defend and I personally despise.
