I was pleased with Salamakers. He can run for ages, good replacement (now we just need to know whether he can kick a ball).

Conti was the danger man, tbh, we really need a good RB.

We coneded 1 (from PK) in 2 away games (10-man side vs Juve and Lecce) and home against Roma. Thats satisfying

Saelemaekers still raw.

Kessie today was very good, along with Conti.
Jack is so afraid in getting injured, it is obvious ....

Paqueta really shouldn’t play anywhere but CAM. He does a very good job there.

From the start it was a big mistake to make him a CM.

His role is AM, the closer he is to the attack the better, he is not a proper midfielder.

Saelemaekers quite evidently lacks end product and has poor decision-making in the final third, but it's games like these where he makes up for it with his work effort and endeavor. Seems less polished than the similar Samu, I'd say.

The first 60 minutes before subs were really poor. Roma outplayed us with more dangerous attacks.

It changed when we started to play with 11 men.

Bro, I do not know what game you have watched but besides 2 attacks in the first half, Roma did nothing. Nothing at all.

First half was poor as hell by both teams.

In the second half, once we subbed off Bonaventura, we have more desire to win the game but still too all over the place in the attack. Roma did nothing at all in the second half and once Dzeko was subbed, Roma was no threat at all.

Like I said before, Jack cannot start at all. I thank him for all the good memories he brought in but on the last 2 seasons he had more terrible ones.

Summary:

- Great win, shame that the top 4 just do not lose.

- Good performance overall but so much to be tweaked.

- Gigio? I think he had a no action game like he had against Lecce.

- Conti? Overall, good performance but has lots to improve.

- Kjaer? He was always there even with his injury.

- Romagnoli? Capitano was pretty good but he had 4 bad reads. The header from Dzeko was not his fault because he had to cover both Dzeko and Mikhi-whatever.

- Theo? MUch better than against Lecce but I think he needs to quit the blonde look.

- Samu? Maybe too tired. He looked really gassed the whole game.

- Kessie? Great performance and as Capitano, I think he has room for improvement.

- Bennacer? He was great though I think he eeds more discipline defensively.

- Hakan? Loved the tackle by the end but not so much the clear pass he should have done to the Sale-boy before that.

- Jack? Like I told the dud that asked for Jack to be kept, without a goal Jack's performance is pedestrian at best.

- Rebic? He was always running when needed. I hope Ibra is ready against SPAL so Rebic can rest.

Subs:

- Paqueta? Decent. I think he can give so much more. At least he was a real positive.

- Sale-boy? I think he did well. The end product is not always there but at least he earned consideration for next games as a sub or maybe a start.

- Leao? Too late to judge.

Overall, great win by the boys. Forza Milan and Forza to all rossoneri fans around the worls!!

I agree

and *if* the formation doesnt allow it, he should at least be on the left (either as a left CM or left mid) as he seems much more comfortable there

I really don't want us to give up on him early, i think that when the conditions were right and in his favour he did great for us under Rino. Since then a lot has happened but I hope Paq still becomes a real start for us and Rui Costa doesn't snatch him from us

A very good win and gives us confidence to fight until the end of the season.

Both teams were dire for most of the match and thankfully we were slightly less dire.

Bonaventura is mediocre, has always been mediocre and we will never get Europe let alone top 4 whilst he is a starter.

looked like he got the ball first. not sure.

Smalling did not touch the ball, only Theo.

He didn't protest, Roma didn't protest, and VAR didn't do anything.

It was a clear penalty.

Not aimed at you directly but this self-shaming is utterly ridiculous. We'd win the CL and you'd all claim we deserved to lose in the first preliminary round of EL at this rate.
