Firing the coach is a disaster.
We've JUST settled down and found some semblance of an identity.
WORSE still, the players are behind him.

Of course all disasters can be repaired....but it's less costly and painful to avert them in the first place.

The fans who blindly support all of the shit B&G do are highly annoying.
When is football going to win over someone's ego/need to poorly disguise their own failures by throwing blame where it does not belong?

A blind fool stranded on the moon could have seen that many many many players we bought would have never done well here. It's OK to get a few or even many wrong....but your successes must be more than your fodders. But even the term "fodder" now has a wide spectrum in our squad.

Players like Bertolacci Zapata Montolivo, Abate, Honda etc are actually "fodder" in the context of an ambitious team targeting a CL place....but the fact that they are not absolute shit often gets conflated with them being good. Montolivo has been doing generally quite well and Berto came into a decent run of form....where he wasn't total CRAP...and us being fans were naturally glad for it

But We don't really have many class players in our team. Donnaruma, Romagnoli, Bonaventura and Bacca. NONE of these guys are World Class except perhaps Bacca, as an out-and-out striker.....and his form is dipping a bit.

A decent-ish management would have assessed our NEEDS and built a squad around the coach's vision....which in reality, we've almost NEVER done....even in the Ancelotti days. The difference with Carlo is that while he might not have had the pieces he wanted, he had enough talent to perform well in makeshift roles.

Nowadays we don't have this level of talent.....We NEED a Class or even World Class CAM.....There is no place for Balotelli Boateng and Poli on a team that wants CL place. Honestly on a real CL team, guys like Berto, Honda and even Montolivo would struggle for a place, let alone start.

But instead of addressing the NEEDS of the TEAM....we are once again looking for someone else to weave straw into gold :fp:

Any coach that throws their team under the bus to avoid taking responsibility for a loss has no respect from me.

Seedorf was a coward who had a big mouth and his football was nothing special.

But why beat around d the bush if that's the truth the team needs a extremely radical change because it radically has changed from European power to a mediocre shadow of itself...so no he is not the coward you mention...he spoke the truth a taboo to even rossoneri faithful...one that needed to be faced and no one was BRAVE enough to say it...sometimes things are just Are what they are even if you think it was throwing them under the bus...they can't be protected as always and they the team needed to take responsibility

Bacca might be WC...but there's a lot of players that I'd take over him

Benz
CR7
Messi
Neymar
Suarez
Lewandowski
Aubameyang
iBra(him Ba)
Aguero
Sanchez

Bacca may or may not be better than some in this list but it's iffy. So he's good, class...but World Class? I dunno

Capt. Montolivo hastily finished his cigarette as the Lombardy sky hinted at something ominous approaching. The supply audi had just arrived, with Sgt. Abate in the passenger seat.

"Captain..I could only source 4 boxes of grenades. We have rifles for everyone but we still need RPGs. Hopefull--"

"FOR FUCK SAKE!" the Captain flicked his cigarette butt at Ignazio, hitting him squarely in the face with extreme precision. "Do you want this operation to fail you fucking ******??".

"Captain..they'll hear you! SHHHHHH"

Just then the undeniable scent of scrambled eggs began to waft through the air.

If you take out the common sense, good judgment, professionalism and man-management skills out of Miha, then you'll get Seedorf. "Only" thing Seedorf had working for him in Milan - which is now also getting results for Miha - is his simple, ultra-defensive but un-Italian 4231/4411 approach, which took out a fodder CM, confined our confused midfielders to primarily defensive roles and gave the FBs more support defensively, which basically resulted in a much improved defensive record.
This is not as brilliant as it sounds, but it's what this squad needs for short-term results and new, foreign coaches like Miha & Seedorf happen to be more likely than Italians to make it their main formation.
Miha is a very good fit for us, but I think he'd be pretty average for most teams outside Italy. Seedorf on the other hand is a disaster.

Everyone and their mother knows that AC Milan needs a big change but one can't expect such a big change to occur in a short amount of time (like Seedorf did).

Seedorf knew what he was getting himself into when he took the job and when things weren't going his way he took the easy way out by blaming everyone else instead of himself. He constantly played the "60% of the team sucks" card and never admitted how repetitive and lethargic his tactics were. During his time here, he sounded and acted more like a petulant child than an actual coach.

Seedorfs system required a team that was 3 times more fit then the team he got. He still managed though. It was a full team effort going forward, and a full team effort going back.

Going Forward we were basically playing 352 with the fullbacks overlapping and De jong dropping back in between the other 3 CB's. Then Defensively we had the 2 DM's and the wingers dropping in to help.

Point was, quick recovery of the ball everytime we lose it. Would've loved to see this more.

Miha has the whole team working together defensively, however offensively when were forced to create patiently we can't

"This needs to have more cushion!!! The conditions must be replicated exactly you fuck!!"

Commodore Seedorf was berating the milanello staff while they installed the Coach's Pavilion. One of the Commodore's first acts since his appointment was to have an extravagant coaches box installed on the San siro touch line. He insisted that the training pitch also required a coaches box as well.

"Urby, bring me my pipe, boy", he bellowed and Private Urby produced a pipe swiftly from the Commodore's traveling marijuana locker. "It's time for lunch. Stop training boys."

The boys stopped...but some amongst them were soon to BEGIN something quite else.

Capt. Montolivo was at the end of the group, his hand holding a grenade in his Milan store training fleece pocket. He glanced over...Sgt. Abate was in position behind the Coachs Pavillion.

This is incorrect. He received a team with a failed season. It was meant to be a progressive half season that he can test the team out with a follow up rebuilding season according to what he learned in 6 months.

No time to implement anything he wanted (additional coaches etc)

"Mein Fuhrer...the operatives are in place. We are awaiting your final go-ahead." Lt. Col. Abbiati gave a salute and clicked his heels.

"Excellent....excellent. This, problem of ours will soon be taken care of." Adriano Galliani cracked his knuckles and leaned back in the opulent leather chair in the study of his FuhrerBunker beneath the fields of Milanello. "Casualties are acceptable. What is not acceptable....is betrayal. You understand this, yes?"

"Yes mein Fuhrer."

"Good. Proceed with the operation."

It was in the Express (a terrible paper) that Milan will buy Jordan Veretout from Villa once we are relegated.

He's young (~21) and French. A midfielder. He's not done well for Villa this season (no one has), but he is comfortable on the ball, has good short range passing ability and can play deep midfield or advanced playmaker.

I don't think he's ready for the leap in quality to Milan yet, and feel as though Milan should be buying proven quality in MF to get into the CL.

Villa bought him for ?8m and would want to recoup at least what we paid, plus he's on a 4 year contract so he'll probably be around for the Championship next year.

According to reports in Italy, Veretout could be the first man out of the Villa Park door.

Milan are understood to be considering a cut-price deal for the French midfielder who cost Villa ?8million just last summer.

The 23-year-old joined from Nantes but is yet to score in 27 appearances for his new club.

Apparently we can get him for 5.4Mil

"You see, Mario? You must be serious and attentive about these things my son. This is very important." Commodore Seedorf had a magnanimous personality, truly larger than life. The one aspect of his life that betrayed this was, to his squad's dismay, his culinary taste.

"Bring out more eggs and Urby pack my pipe!!" Since the morning sessions began, the Commodore had smoked an entire ounce of marijuana.

The dashing young Corporal Balotelli sat next to his leader and offered a resigned shrug.

"Mr. Clarence, this is the 7th day in a row we have eaten scrambled eggs for lunch. My stomach is upset. Can't we have something else for a change?"

"My dear boy, when was the last time you saw my abs?" Urby fetched the packed pipe for Clarence as the coach lifted up his shirt to display his abs once more. "Scrambled eggs!" Taking a substantial drag from his pipe, the coach stood up and got on the table, ready to inspire his team once again.
"Gentlemen! We shall eat scrambled eggs every day unti----

Suddenly, a crash. The chef bringing out the freshly made batch of scrambled eggs had collapsed suddenly on the floor...blood dripping from his nostrils.

The young Corporal Mario dashed to chef's aide and put his finger to his neck, searching for a pulse. "Mister Clarence...he's dead! Poison!"

"So....it has begun"

Commodore Seedorf grinned with relish at the prospect of the looming war.

Sansone admits he's a Milan fan:

“Was I a Milan fan after 5 May 2002? It wasn’t really on 5 May, but when I realised that Inter never won I changed teams. It was also because I loved Kaka a lot."

Would you guys take him?

Exactly, just look at Palermo.

Zamparini is a clown and Berlusconi in not far from him.

Dear Bunga Banga king,
please, can you just stop interfering with coaches job and ruining every slightly good looking thing we manage to get started here FFS.
We have enough problem fixing Galliani's bullshit without you forcing your shitty 4-3-1-2 tactic, "inventing" players new position and generally telling everyone else how to do their job when you are obviously not doing yours very well.

Sincerely,
Everyone.

Sansone? If we switch to 4-3-3, then yes.

Almost every year is the same.

1. Get the coach.
2. Get players that fit his system whether it is 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, 4-3-1-2, 4-4-2. Under Allegri and Seedorf we get 3 AMs (Kaka', Honda and Saponara) and we barely used 4-3-1-2. Then during Pippo's era we get Armero for our 4 man backline when he is a pure wingback and then wonder why he sucks so much defensively.
3. It is actually #1. Get rid off Galliani or he retiring.

I feel like managing an owner is easier when you win, and that to pretend Miha--or any manager for that matter--doesn't know what they're getting into when they sign for Milan is a little naive.

Miha has shelved 4-3-1-2 just like managers before him, and when you win you can do whatever.

Miha's current approach has meant that we don't have alternatives to our retro 442, to our detriment. I mean, Balo wasn't bad against Sassuolo, he looked like someone who is still recovering from a hernia. Menez the same.

I bring that up to say, why not play a 451? Granted, if any of our chances went in, I think we'd be having a different conversation, but I still think there's something to be said about the softness we have when Berto plays in monto's role.

If Milan finish in the CL spaces, no brainer, Miha stays. EL? I think it depends on how it goes down, honestly. It also depends on whether you want to throw the dice with Di Francesco.

Whoever takes over, though, it's clear that our central midfield, even more than CB, is the biggest problem area.
