They lost few key players (promoted to 1st team or went on loan) so the struggle is understandable. Hope they'll get better soon

does anyone know what the deal is with petagna? hes been linked with como, ascoli, virtus lanciano... he hasn't gone to s. africa with primavera or on loan to another club and hasn't been on tour with the first team. where the hell is he training right now?

most clubs in serie b get their loans in early and a lot of italian u21's have already found clubs, hope it gets sorted soon.

are the guys playing in durban international a first team of primavera. if it is then it's an embarrassement to our youth team and the majority of calcio youngster. cant register a single win and placed bottom of the group. the talent in italian footie has drown quite fast..

one pre season tournament for milan primavera, in south africa of all places, truly is an indication of the state of all italian talent.:fp:

Petagna is 2-3 years older than current Primavera players. He needs a serie B team.

I didn't realize that Modic had gone on loan to Vicenza! Normally I would be really optimistic but they already have two fantastic young Italian CMs Sbrissa and Gagliardi who are both ahead in development. definitely a team to keep an eye on next season.

Michael Fabbro has signed permanently for bassano virtus in lega pro. there must be a buy back option here or it wouldn't make any sense. quite a few of our players are in lega pro so it will be hard to track their progress:

Di Molfetta
Matteo Pessina
Michael Fabbro
Andrea Petagna

edit: it seems stefano gori has also been sold permanently to bari. no news on a buyback option.

Iglio is supposed to be a super talented mid (best of his generation) we stole from under the noses of Inter. He's a complete mid who both attacks/defends very well. In fact he's so good he's getting promoted 1/2 years in advance.

Iglio looks like a very strong complete midfielder (great tackling, passing, shooting, running). He's only 14yo but plays like a veteran. He has a great physique like Cristante and similar playing style (though Iglio looks quicker). I'm sure he'll end up in the first team one day.

#8 capitano...

It's no loss Fabbro's totally average. Cutrone/Vassallo and especially Vido are far more talented.

Poor youth development is a problem across Italy. Hopefully Vido is used properly. Sad to see all of this potential talent lost because of incompetence.

 Agreed. Unfortunately Vido got injured in the last game so could be out for a while. Shame because he had a great start to the season for both club + country

Manuel Locatelli (#8) + Gian Filippo Felicoli (#11) should both be immediately promoted. We don't have a single midfielder with the creative/passing skills of Locatelli or ability to beat a man like Felicioli. They're both a couple years older than Donnarumma.

 Great pass from Locatelli for Vido's first goal. Shame Vido got injured in this game because he's been on fire :devilfir:

Just conceded vs Perugia in the first minute. And Milan Primavera is 8th in the league.

This Primavera is the worst in last 5 years.

Sack Brocchi.

They turned it around. First minute stunners happen, but you are right that they are underperforming quite heavily. The class of '98 is was supposed to steamroll everyone this year, and maybe that has gotten to their heads.

won the match 3:1, agnero scored one of the goals, he is 16 years and got a strong physique. was the top scorer in alkass cup with allievi.

That isn't strictly true. Many of the staples of the '98 golden generation haven't played with the Primavera regularly if at all (e.g. Llamas, Malberti, Altare, Modic, La Ferrara, Cutrone). Instead, Brocchi seems to be playing mostly '97s with the more physically developed (though less talented) '98s e.g. Hadziosmanovic, Zanellato, Agnero. Also, Mastour's on loan at Malaga whereas Locatelli was already playing for the Primavera last season.

Don't forget many of the opposition team's players could be upto 3 years older than our '98s. That's a big difference at this level.

He's a decent prospect with a very good physique which is why he's getting regular playing time. However, we've got many more talented forwards in the Primavera e.g. Vido, Vassallo, Cutrone, La Ferrara.

Galliani said Locatelli will be promoted to the first team next year. He also hinted he may not be the only one :g:

Youth midfielder Emanuele Torrasi has signed professional contract with Milan until 2018. Some Premier League teams were interested for him.

Where does he play and in which youth team? Never heard of him

Milan's philosophy has always been to use the Primavera and Allievi to train future first team players. Results have always been secondary. Just FYI.

Locatelli looks rather good and ready for Serie A.

But they should then at least try to get better results.

It will only be good for them to know how to win, play in a team and of course how to recover from losses too.
