No world class players, no appeal to all the young talented players who don't remember the great Milan teams. The new management wanted better players but they didn't want us. Massive debt, losing millions every year and we don't even own our own stadium.

Things are bad at the moment but we are where we are due to Silvio and his complete lack of care for Milan between 2007 and 2017. Remember during those years Juve went from Serie B to a profitable club, they own their own stadium, world class squad, numerous Scudetto's and two CL finals in 3 years losing to a far better team in both finals.

Nice points, good post . This bolded part is a fkin disgrace but true. As i said in some earlier posts, new kids only know about Messi and Ronaldo, and you cant blame them. If you know Shevchenko, you are probably at least 25y.o.

You're mostly right, but I don't think you can blame the stadium entirely on them. If you've been following the league in those years you'll also have realised how much red tape there is in getting stadium approval, it's political cock-blocking and even forward-thinking clubs like Roma (the most consistent post-Calciopoli team, top 3 almost every season etc) have struggled getting permission.

There is no quick fix but there's no quick fix in ANY transitional stage. Just look at Man Utd after Ferguson. Problems that come with no CL football (appeal to top players) are fixed not by throwing money at the team, but by good management and signing the right players, which we haven't done. I mean, Juve were playing with Matri and Vucinic upfront when they went unbeaten and won the league in 2012. Yeah they were smart with their stadium, but also lucky given how much influence the Agnellis have in Turin and in Italy through Fiat in general.

"Killed" the club is a bit of an exaggeration. Ghirardi killed Parma, Cragnotti pretty much killed Lazio. B&G just got stagnant, but they didn't leave us in a worse state than the oil Sheikhs picked up PSG and Man City.

When people say ''give it time'' they are partially right, however the virtue of time doesn't heal things on itself. Milans current project is unclear and seems uncoordinated to the outside worls. Negative press, bad results, rash/illogical decisions. Bad results are the least worrying of these things.

And yes, the project SHOULD be clear and understandable to fans/players/football world if they want Milan to rebuild image after late B&G era. Money alone is not enough to attract top players and start a positive cycle again, at least not in the quantities that China seems able to provide.

Im actually ok with the young players we have brought, its the older ones that have let us down

I have faith in silva, kessie, conti coming good next season. Its the lack of preparation for pre season (Montella had no clear plan ), and not enough midfield reinforcements that has screwed us. Also kalinic being off form lost us at least 9 points

I hope these guys will continue focusing on italian players.

If all goes right, we could have half of Italy XI made up of our players.
Dollar - Bonucci - Alessio - Conti are pretty much confirmed to be starters in a year or so. Bonaventura is close. I'm sure Cutrone will be there too, maybe next to Immobile or even replace him in 1-2 yearrs. If Locatelli steps up, there's space for him too and maybe Calabria on LB, if he could adjust or rotate with Conti.

Molto bene!
