I Am A Fascist - Abbiati

Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has sensationally revealed he is a fascist and he is not ashamed of his political beliefs.

The shot stopper has been used sparingly by coach Carlo Ancelotti and he has been comfortable with his new role at the club.

Abbiati has decided to share his views on life away from the pitch and his revelations are likely to cause a stir in the football world.

"I am not ashamed of showing my political beliefs," Abbiati told Sportweek.

"I agree with some aspects of fascism like Patriotism and the values of the Catholic religion.

"Of Fascism I disagree with racial laws, allegiance to Hitler and the war but I like the capacity Fascism had to secure law and order, It guaranteed security for the people."

Although he has clearly stated his beliefs and disbeliefs regarding his political stance, Abbiati is unlikely to win any admirers in the world of football.

The game is always fighting against such narrow minded views like fascism and racism.

I just started laughing when I saw that, mainly because of the picture they used, I don't know, looked funny when paired with the headline

Wow, another fascistic tattooed baldie. He's a Mini-Me of Paolo Di Canio.

And how on earth does Goal.com define "sparingly" when he's been the #1 (meh) all season so far?

Fascio in italian means "spreading roots"
that was the main point of the well known italian dictator.

When Hitler ask him to destroy every jew in his country,he said:"First of all they are italians for me,only after that it's jews".
Hitler was very dissapointed with that statement,as he himself was not only a fascist but a nazi.

But this f*ckhead Abbiati should go bang Di Canio and s*ck each other d*cks.

Why state your political side, when you play football???
Motherf*cker.

Its the same as when Kaka repeat he belong 2 jesus.
I mean we got it already unless u were swishing between satan & jesus then there is no need 4 u 2 repeat u "still" belong 2 jesus.
Is it ok 4 Kaka 2 declare his religious or philosophical beliefes & its 4bdden 4 others ?
As Ashish said , as long as he doin his job he can b who ever he want.

Ricardo's father is still very upset with the fact that his son turned down his jewish roots. So Riky decided to donate money once in a while for the biggest synagogue in Rio.

Perhaps all the people saying "I don't care as long as he plays well" neec to have their priorities re-examined. The more I hear about Abbiatti the more I am convinced he's scum.....I'd like to think that Milan is bigger than prostituting itself to anyone who will help them gain the three points. Fascists might not be inherently racist but they aren't for equal rights either which in itself provides an environemnt for racism and other social ills to fester. I agree with Kizimoto on this one!!! =

What does that has to do with this?

If Kaka` can say what his beliefs are, then everyone else can say it too. He said he`s not a racist,he doesn`t agree with war etc..

As some have already said,I don`t give a fuck about his religion, political beliefs and everything else as long as he does well for Milan. He`s not embarrassing the club by saying those things.

Keep up the good work Abbiati,we need you on form against merda!

Hey that is so out of context! What is wrong in this--> "I agree with some aspects of fascism like patriotism and the values of the Catholic religion.

"Within Fascism I disagree with racial laws, allegiance to Hitler and the war :conf:

I'm glad this Juventino *** second-rate jabronie goalkeeper admitted this. Now whenever he makes a good save I will shout 'Viva Il Douche!'.

Preventing the guy from playing or cutting him from the team for having expressed his beliefs would degrade Milan to his level, as an authoritarian team. Fascism is wrong because it doesn't admit opposition, therefore it cannot grow outside of a self-made shelter and it's also a lot of prepotence to think you know what's right for you and for everybody else, excluding every kind of contrary beliefs from the government sphere.

Also, it was planning (again, too much prepotence) and the desire to cure these social ills what caused the higher number of deaths in the twentieth century, through socialism (Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot etc...). With socialism, not only political opposition is not admited, but also the economical power and the political power -- opposition between themselves in free countries -- are concentred into a single body of work.

We cannot just say "As long as he plays well for our team, I don't care"; it just doesn't make any sense. It's like someone on our team says that he raped 30 girls in one year and killed innocent children and we will say, he plays well which is the most important thing right ? Ridiculous!
Abbiati made a big, big mistake spreading his political beliefs in public.

No he did not, and although now I'm a hundred percent sure he's not an intelligent lad, it also says a lot of good things about his personality, coming out with this.

I never said that he shouldn't play.....all I said it that a player's non-footballing life doesn have some effect on the club. I wouldn't want a childmolester playing for Milan even if he were better than Pele, Maradonna and Ronaldo combined. Not that Abbiatti is on that level mind you.

The other thing about facists...... is that even if they are racists it's highly unlikely that the high profile ones would openly admit to being so. Di Canio said that he wasn't racist either.

i do agree it was a mistake, to an extent, to say his political beliefs... but i disagree that he will cause trouble because of them. I don't think we'll see him give the fascist "heil" like Di Canio nor try to pester his team-mates about "turning in" anymore than Kaká could tell them about "accepting" Jesus in their hearts.

if anything, i bet Gattuso is gonna mock and slap him because of it

please.... what racist says theyre a racist?! it matters to me what a player things socially, and it should to all of you the amount of time we put intosupporting this club. The fact he'd outardly say his preferences, says he's pretty vocal facist. if he was just a symathizer he'd keep it to himself.

just rmember this is the start of what could be an squad cancer... how do u think players like kaka, or more so playerslike ronaldinho or seedorf will react to this? You dont think they'll think less of him, keep it in there mind.

finally its a gloabized world. This is ot 1908 where foreigners cant play for milan. Grow up abbiati, nationalism and whatnot is of the past. Sure be proud ur italian, but dont indoctrinate. Make no mistake, if this carries on farther other players will see this in milan and not want to come here.....

Di Canio is a far more vocal fascist and he played in Milan way before Abbiati, to mix politics with sports is a bad idea though and he should have kept his mouth shut like an intelligent person would have :) Btw, the Brigate Rossonere but especialy the Guerrierri Ultras are extreme right wing fans also, so you want to play behind closed doors or something? lol. Grow up.

Abbiatti, I want him to remain in GK, if you start playing Dida and he loses us 10 points, then who is going to care about Abbiatti being a non-racist facist? not me.

I could care less if his political beliefs involve painting pink polka dots on his head. However, politics and sports sure as hell don't mix and there was no point in making this public.
