Yeah signing 5 good players (Musacchio, Kessie, RR, possibly Conti and Andre Silva) and Borini (didn't count him as a good player/signing) before the window starts is a pretty shit way to announce ourselves back... window hasn't even opened, we could still very well sign a world class player along with what we've already got. Calhanoglu is no slouch either and Kjaer is for rotation too, they're definitely not bad options at all.

All 11 won't be star players, need to replace the quality of the squad.
Kjaer/Managala are options to replace Paletta/Zapata - the aim is to keep 4-5 capable CBs as you never know with Roma/Musa and GG is still inconsistent.
Borini is a poor, squad signing, won't justify it.
Kalinic is an option but I think we will continue to stall till we are sure we can't get anyone better.
Calhanoglu, again not my first choice but I think guys like James and Forsberg are too expensive, Keita was being a twat so have to go for next best/available option.
The aim is to gradually improve quality, not in one summer, this summer probably 75% overhaul and then slowly filling the quality gaps in the next two markets.
