Duude!! Been waiting for Better Call Saul for a while. I recorded the first episode, the second one premiers tonight so I'll watch them both. I heard the events take place before Breaking Bad, I hope it's as good.

After watching the first episode it seems like BCS will be the same as Breaking Bad when it comes to character development. Dont want to spoil anything but you'll see what I mean after you've watched it.
Anyways, so far so good. Really interesting. You can see some similarities between BCSs first episode and BBs first.

Have to wait for second ep til tomorrow

Wasn't on my list either, but it keeps showing up on showtime, so I gave it a shot and got hooked. It's basically about a degenerate family, who keep getting into shitty situations, i mostly like the father (William H Macy) who is a drunk/druggie, he's just too funny and the role suits him perfectly. Mainly it's about everything bad that can happen to a family, but not in a dramatic way..

First two seasons are very good (especially the second).

Season 3 is mostly trash.

Season 4 is good up until the final episode.

Better Call Saul has actually been pretty good... I didn't have great expectations for it but I think they made a good decision to do a spin-off about Saul Goodman because his earlier career was practically not covered at all in Breaking Bad.

It's not as good as the likes of The Americans yet but it's still early days .
