In a shock announcement, McLaren have confirmed that 2005 Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso will join the team from 2007. The team, however, did not mention who the Spaniard's team-mate would be, increasing speculation that Kimi Raikkonen might join Ferrari in the same season.

Interesting Rex  ?

Very interesting, Besjan. ;) Never crossed in my mind before the speculation goes well that McLaren succeed landing the Spaniard to put pen on paper for British team. As for Kimi might join Scuderia, it remains to be seen. In 2007 Schumacher remains on his seat, and MotoGP star Rossi put him well to have issued to be Schumi's team-mate either. So, there has plenty of choice out there for making decision in leading race for young drivers.

Oh, btw Schumi still should have to be taken seriously as strong contender for driver's title in 2006. He makes himself as fastest man of all for V8 in last weekend's testing. ;)

I always supported Schumi till got the 7th championship , it was just not interesting always to win it :D , so I was after Batton but he failed .. so I am in search for new favourite hehe .. Alonso no chance.. but Kimmi its most probably.. for now I will better enjoy watching like neutral..

Bahrain GP, March 12, 2006

Alright, 2006 season is about to begin. Here's on this weekend race, Sakhir International Circuit will be the first host of 19 GP this season.

New season, new terms and conditions apply. From 3.000cc V10 turns out to be 2.400cc V8 engine changes. This season allows teams to change tyres during pit stop, a new qualifying system which pretty confusing me to understand.

I have no idea what sensation look like that will be provided by this V8 type in terms of generally F1 cars' technical development ? The answer will be on the track, and in-depth story of on-going season.

Entry List 2006.

It was a great race...1-Alonso 2-Shumacher 3-Raikkonen

These three will fight until the end in my opinion...Great to see Ferrari very competitive again and wonderful debut from the german Rosberg...could he be the new Schuey?

LOL, why you all of sudden changed your heart to back Ferrari, Besjan ? Remember, you once spoken out loud that you will be Button's rear ass to back him through tick and thin ?

Alonso had great sunshine on his final race, but Scuderia are now ready to kick ass again.

Since I watched Ferrari's cars minutely, they are really brand new. All cars' display have some radical changes either its chassis or aerodynamics in order to accustom new V8 engines. Competitive cars are much required, and Ferrari look set into it. :)

Oh, btw I like McLaren's new body colour. :D

wow there's also an official F1 thread here...

hi.. i'm new here and i'm a huge fan of the iceman.. KIMI RAIKKONEN..
McLaren MP4-21 such a beautiful car but sadly they're not as fast as last year.. yet.. I hope they could set a faster pace next race in Sepang... :D

btw, is there anyone that have the video / clip of one of the best overtaking of all time, when Mika Hakkinen battle against Schumacher in 2000 ??

thanks

Welcome. Keep the posts coming. :)

Yes, I agreed MP4-21 are such a beautiful car. I'd say their performance last round at Sakhir were best of the best. Kimi's display says it all. And JPM stucked nowhere at 5 top final position.

It's getting more interesting season, though. Keep 'em rockin'. ;)

Yeah , I changed to many favourite drivers hehe but I was Ferrari always .. I stopped cheering for them becouse they were unstopable .. and it got bored.. I wanted to find another driver to cheer .. it was Batton .. but he failed last season.. so for now I dont know who to cheer .. Michael is again with good car.. but Raikonen is very attractive to watch.. so better if I see like neutral hehe

I hope now you understand .. :) .. I am bit complicated.. hehe

My hat off simply given to newbie debutant, Nico Rosberg who was able to live up expectation that taking over 3rd top place into the grid where its place have always been for an experience drivers to manage it. He will be the promising driver in closing stages of season, I think and Williams know his potential to raise it up while time move on. He's a future asset.

agree with you.. Nico has inherit the talent from his father, and he might be greater than his dad. At this moment, the only driver that very likely to broke Alonso record as the youngest WDC is Nico...

Well.. another dissapointing qualification for McLaren :( i hope that's because they bring more fuels
