I still bet gattuso starts a lot. Definitely most of big games, until he proves to be past it (which he hasn't)

Otherwise in lineup you present, Nesta would wear armband.

IIRC the order goes:
Ambrosini, Gattuso, Seedorf/Nesta, Abbiati.

Actually forgot Pippo, i wonder where he'd slot in. On seniority he came after gattuso but before seedorf/nesta

Abbiati came in 1998, and Nesta 2002 but Abbiati was loaned out a couple times.

Yeah, knowing Allegri, Gattuso or Flamini will start the RCM.

Let's say that is our line-up. I'd choose Van Bommel because of his characteristics but knowingly Milan always selects his Captain baised on amounts of season in Milan it will be Nesta. Even tho Abbiati is longer at Milan. GK's as Captains...meeeh

yeah but abbiati left. It's based on consecutive time or total caps which nesta wins.

Otherwise by that logic Antonini or abate would wear the armband.

Unless I am forgetting someone.

Pippo and Seedorf are close but it'd probably be Seedorf for his leadership over Pippo.

NAh I love Nesta as captain, he's much more commanding. Controls backline.

I do like conventional wisdom you don't want your captain crossing the halfway line, unless it's a corner. So when seedorf captains, he must play anchor role.

i do truly think the midfield we used last year (boateng, seedorf, mvb, gattuso) is a very good midfield to match up v. bartha.

you got just enough technique there to take ball forward, and hold off pressure, and all can tackle, be aggressive w/o getting reds.

well except maybe boateng. Poor guy will be pressuring busquets, and we know what will happen there... deserved for not.

Finally, take off zlatan for pippo to actually win the game :thumbsup:

I tell them u better watch Milan cuz guy is a hero, and no body knows what he's doing on the field..he's like invisible and never show off...but good when it come to attacking, defending and hurting ppl

@ Ash : Yesterday's training session:

MILANELLO - The second session of the day took place at 17.30 as the players took to the training pitch in the rain at Milanello.

The players started off on the low pitch with a warm-up using the ball as part of the drill dribbling between the cones and then passing the ball to a team-mate. That phase concluded with ball possession.

The central part of the session saw the Rossoneri play a practice match over half of the pitch with four small goals placed on the four sides of the pitch, each team could score into two of the small goals.

Training finished with a match, again in half of the pitch, 11 against and 11 with goalkeepers.

With regard to the individuals: after an intense morning, Nesta and Antonini trained apart. Calvano and El Shaarawy, however, carried out customised work in the pool.

Tomorrow, the team will play a friendly against Solbiatese Arno, at 18.00, at the Felice Chinetti di Solbiate Arno (VA).

I disagree. Nesta won't suddenly jump from not taking it to being like 4th in line.

Pippo and Abbi will both be ahead of him imo. We'll just have to wait and see.

how can you disagree? Nesta was captain last season even when Abbiati was on the field.

Pippo is debatable, but Nesta has more appearances for Milan.

If Nesta wants to, he should be the captain. He simply is made for it. I don't care about how many games or seasons one has played totally.
