Pretty much the same as last year.

I hope they improve Boateng´s attributes though , in Fifa 12 he has a very weak shot in my opinion.

If Silva isn't the best defender on the game I'm gonna slap EA in the face.

Playing a few matches of FIFA 13, it quickly becomes clear how prominent these aggressive improvements are to the flow of the game. The first noticeable addition is the adaptation of the excellent close-ball control system from FIFA Street, now dubbed Complete Dribbling. Dribbling is much more effective this year: You aren't forced to use flashy dribble moves to beat players, but can use close control a la Messi to find space. When this is combined with the new Pro Player Intelligence, attacking plays feel much smoother. Players make smart runs, rather than merely wandering into an offside position. You will see Van Persie bend his run across the defence, giving you the opportunity to slide the perfect pass behind Chelsea's back four. This helps maintain attacking momentum, and in general transitioning from defence to offence is much quicker than in FIFA 12.

Players are in space far more often in this year's game. Instead of standing around marked, they'll actively seek space on the pitch. Lead producer David Rutter claims players will think two or three passes ahead of the play, meaning men who aren't directly involved in the attack will make runs for when the ball shifts to their side of the field. It's a small change, but it makes a huge difference.

This year's dynamic first touch control system adds a new level of realism to FIFA. League Two players are no longer able to bring a 50-foot high clearance down on a sixpence. Balls can bounce off a defender's shins into the path of an attacking player, a promising attack can break down thanks to a winger's unreliable control. When you choose to close down a team that passes the ball across the defence, you feel like you have a genuine chance of intercepting the ball – and in turn, this forces defenders to clear the ball much quicker than they would like. In FIFA 12, possession football and keeping the ball in the defence was a preferred option, but it now becomes increasingly risky as the attackers press the ball.

Of course, there have been some new additions to defending to help balance the attacking overhaul. For one thing, EA has majorly improved the "push-pull" mechanic. Last year Manchester United's Ashley Young had no problem out-muscling the likes of John Terry and Jamie Carragher to keep possession. Now, stronger players will more often barge smaller rivals off the ball without lunging into a tackle, or at the very least disrupt their opponent's centre of gravity, forcing a mistake. This leads to intricate battles of speed v strength: outpaced defenders have the option to pull the striker back, but only at the risk of a foul and possibly a sending off. There's also the ability to step into the path of an oncoming attacker, blocking their attempt to run after a ball they've knocked past you - a much better solution to the weak lunging tackles of old.

FIFA 13 feels very much like FIFA 12's second-half. EA has now completely changed both attack and defence to the point where every moment feels like a chess match. The defender shepherding the ball-carrier is waiting for a heavy touch; the second defender following the runner is trying to force him into an offside position while making sure he doesn't lose track of his man. The striker closing down the defender as he attempts to bring down a high ball is ready to pounce on a heavy touch - especially if it's Titus Bramble. And the striker bringing the ball forward is waiting for the defender's feeble attempt at a tackle before skipping past to take on the 'keeper.

In short, every moment in FIFA 13 feels important – and the game feels far more rounded as a result.

FIFA 13 - Pre order packages

EA has announced the FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition and two shop exclusive pre-order bonuses.
The Ultimate Edition includes 24 FIFA Ultimate Team gold packs, and is described by EA as the "most extensive global pre-order incentive in the history of the FIFA franchise". The Ultimate Edition will be available to buy one day only: 28th September 2012, the day FIFA 13 launches. You have to pre-order or buy it on the day.
You'll get one FUT pack per week for 24 weeks - what amounts to a total value of over £15. Each gold pack has a mix of 12 items, including players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, balls, kits and badges. Gold packs have players rated 75+ in-game and one rare item.
There are two pre-order incentives: EA Sports Football Club pre-order and adidas All-Star Team pre-order. These are available to those who pre-order either FIFA 13 or FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition on PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.
The Football Club pre-order bonus is exclusive to Amazon. You get 10,000 EA Sports Football Club credits to redeem against in-game items such as special celebrations, Virtual Pro attribute boosts and extra matches in Head-to-Head Seasons mode.
GAME has the adidas All-Star Team pre-order bonus. The team is made up of 23 of the world's best players, including Lionel Messi (no doubt), Nani (not so sure) and Karim Benzema (you're having a laugh). The squad wears special adidas kits that can be used in Online Pro Clubs.

It's been a few years in the making, seen in advances such as FIFA 12's Player Impact Engine. This is now being extended by what Channon grandly claims is "one of the biggest changes we've ever made to FIFA": first-touch control.

Skill Games are a surprisingly excellent addition, addictive in their own right and a smart way to master the subtleties of the game.
This is all to do with the way the player interacts with the ball as it comes to him. Rather than sticking perfectly to his feet, it might, for instance, bounce up awkwardly and off the player's chest. It is, in other words, unpredictable. But not random: it's contextual and determined by the player's stats.
"It makes the game way more realistic and has a huge impact in a positive manner," insists Channon. "Just by making the ball separate from the foot gives so many opportunities."
In addition, overhauls to attacking intelligence - so AI players now think several passes ahead, "not just about who's got the ball, but who might get the ball" and complete dribbling - "we wanted everyone to feel like they could be a hero" - comprise the major tweaks to the core FIFA experience. "What we're seeing is you're scoring goals you've never seen before because people are in different positions," says Channon, admitting: "At times [FIFA 12] could be a little bit predictable."
There's also a new mode in the form of Skill Games, created to address the issue that many FIFA players remain unaware of much of the game's depth. It's a set of mini-games teaching the basics of crossing, free kicks, dribbling, shooting, penalties and the like, with each building into brutal challenges that should tax even experienced players, with points-based leaderboards chucked in to fuel competition.
Activities include crossing balls onto targets, kicking them into rubbish bins, dribbling around poles and conducting manual passing drills. All of which sounds duller than Alan Shearer on paper, but proves to be compelling, addictive (and rock hard) in practice thanks to the subtleties of FIFA's control system.
It is, says gameplay producer Aaron McHardy, "a playground to practice your skills in", and in terms of development is actually an extension of the work done in building the impact engine.

With Redknapp out and AVB in, Spurs have now inked a deal with EA to join teams including bitter rivals Arsenal as an official partner. Which basically means better in-game heads.
"I think what the Skill Games will do is get you to know everything," adds Channon. "The game is so much better when you know everything."
Meanwhile, internationals have been added to Career Mode, bringing the Euros, the World Cup, the Confederations Cup, friendlies, qualifiers and more, with presentation reworked to milk the pride real players always used to feel when pulling on their country's shirt, before they all turned into grasping mercenaries.
And for managers, the transfer system has been substantially reworked. A player's value now takes into account factors including their perceived worth to a club, age, how well they're playing and how long is left on their contract. This should reduce the "churn in big players", as clubs will be less likely to lose their talisman.
Elsewhere, in negotiations it's now possible to specify expectations for a player, luring them with the promise they will be a vital first team player, or if they should expect to be on rotation. And there are various tweaks to Football Club, which Channon calls the "heartbeat" of the FIFA experience across all platforms, with your level carried over from FIFA 12 to keep it a persistent experience.
It's hardly unusual to hear people bellowing "f*** you!" and "sh*t!" at the telly while playing FIFA. The difference this time is the game's listening.
Kinect comes to EA's football giant this year and, wisely opting not to shoehorn in any clumsy motion-control support, the team has focused instead on talking a good game. And it's had a bit of fun in the process, turning our frustrated effing and blinding into a gameplay feature.

Internationals come to Career Mode in FIFA 13, allowing you to proudly represent your nation instead of pretending to care about the embarrassing Team GB Olympics farce.
"Whenever we add something to the game we want it to be game-enhancing," says Channon, who has moved into the hotseat for 13 as 'Dangerous' Dave Rutter, having steered the series to huge critical success this gen, moved upstairs.
"When we looked at Kinect, we felt for our game the best use of it was for voice." Which is a polite way of saying Microsoft's posh webcam would be rubbish for actual gameplay.
EA's thinking here, a developer tells me during a demo, was simply "to keep the user in the game", making as many of the pause menu options voice-activated as possible. Substitutions can be made on the fly with a few simple commands; tactics, mentality and formation can be switched; and you can also alter the view with a quick bark of "Change camera. Dynamic" or "Broadcast".
You can go deeper with combo commands that serve as tactical shortcuts. I'm given a couple of examples: "Take it to the corners" switches the tactic, mentality and formation simultaneously to appropriate settings; "Hard five minutes" instructs your team to play the offside trap and adopt an ultra-defensive mentality, while keeping the formation the same. This is all customisable, so you can set it up as you see fit.
In Be A Pro there's also a limited set of commands to shout at teammates, such as "pass it", "cross it" and "shoot". It's context-sensitive, too, so a player won't automatically respond to "pass it" if there isn't a good opportunity to.
And then there's the swearing. In the main presentation EA is at pains to point out that you won't get carded for calling the ref a c***. I discover later that this was the original plan, but it didn't make sense in the context of a match: how would the ref choose which player to caution?

For armchair managers, the transfer system has been overhauled so it's now concerned with more real world factors rather than solely focused on an abstract price.
Instead, Kinect listens for expletives at key moments, e.g. just after a foul, and keeps a count. Hit the limit for the ref (it varies) and he'll become more strict against your side, or more lenient towards the opposition. If you're a manager, it will also be worked into the post-match narrative, the board questioning your temperament, and even sacking you if you mouth-off too much.
EA isn't saying which words will register - "we can't put it in the manual - that would get us in a lot of trouble," I'm told - but, interestingly, all phrases will be localised, even within the English-speaking world, with variations for Scotland, Ireland and so on, all the way from "wanker" to "welly it!" Against all expectations, then, it looks like Kinect may have a useful role to play in FIFA.
There are no penalties for profanity on PS3, but there is Move support. EA says it isn't ready to talk about that yet - a Gamescom reveal seems likely - but it's there in the menus of the PS3 code I play, which indicates the game will be fully playable with Sony's motion controller, with buttons for standard moves, gestures for Skill Moves and the ability to man mark and send players on the run with a point and pull of the trigger.
"This year has been a huge leap forward gameplay wise," argues Channon. Again, he would say that, and while FIFA 13 may not initially feel like a great advance on last year's already excellent instalment, it does, crucially, feel like a good one. Certainly, it doesn't take long to appreciate the difference the changes to attacking AI and first-touch make. And, appetite well and truly whetted, I can see myself sinking many hours into the Skill Games alone.
The nature of the FIFA beast means, as always, it'll take considerable match time to see how well all the ingredients work together in the final mix. And with signs that Konami is upping its game, this season's title race is no foregone conclusion. But at this stage in the build-up to kick-off, the favourites are looking in great shape.

FIFA 13 Career Mode – The New Features
International Management
As your reputation as a manager grows in Career Mode you will now be offered the chance to manage International teams in addition to the club side you are already playing with.
Your performance and manager reputation in Career Mode dictates the quality of the international offers you will receive.
Your nationality and the league you manage in will also effect the type of International offers you receive.
Rumours about interested nations will circulate in the press for some months before you actually receive a firm offer.
Squad selection will be a key part of your International management duties and deadlines for selections (one week prior to friendlies, one month prior to tournaments) have to be met.
International competitions will run in parallel with the club game meaning you could land a job in the middle of a qualifying campaign.
International management has it’s own Career Mode “Hub” keeping your club and country separate.
In Match Live Score Updates
Whilst playing your Career Mode matches you’ll now receive audio updates from other games being played in your league voiced by Alan Mcinally and Geoff Shreeves.
The live updates cover goal, red card and penalty incidents.
Example – Shreeves: “Goal at Anfield, Fulham’s Clint Dempsey scores a brilliant freekick to make it 2-1, 73 minutes played” Tyler “Thanks Geoff”
You can select/de-select the matches you want to hear audio updates from prior to playing starting your match.
Player Stories
Interaction with players is now more regular with instant feedback received based on managerial decisions.

Specific Player Stories also occur when managing an International team, meaning you’ll need to keep both club and country happy.
Fan stories will now make top news in the press based on team performance.
Be A Player
Once you’ve chosen your player (VP or real) you receive a set of Season Objectives to complete from the manager. The type of player you choose (forward, midfielder, defender, etc) will shape these objectives.

If you are unhappy you now have the option to request a transfer, or request a loan to gain more match experience.
If you choose to play for a top club with a low rated VP you will not be a first team starter to begin with, you’ll be loaned to gain experience first.
If fatigued or playing poorly the manager can now substitute your player.
Once your playing days are over can can opt to retire and take up management.
Classified Results
After each Career Mode match you now receive a rundown of the classified results through in-game audio (think BBC Final Score)
League table updates are also fed back to you as well as any upcoming fixtures. These audio sequences happen less regularly than the classified results.
When this audio is running you can still browse all Career Mode menus and continue to the next game week.
Managers Office
You can now view any available managerial positions via the Jobs Board, this allows you to change clubs mid season should you wish to.
Your manager now appears on the touchline in matches based on customisation options chosen at the start of Career Mode.
Transfer Negotiations
The transfer system has been completely re-written for Career Mode in FIFA 13.
You can now offer player plus cash and player trade deals to the CPU.
When offering to loan players you can now set a future purchase price to sign the player permanently at the end of the loan period.
When the CPU makes an offer for one of your players you can now choose to “Counter Offer” to ask for more money. The CPU will then choose to accept, reject or make a counter offer of their own.
Contract negotiations now contain advice from your Chief Executive which act as a guide to what they think the club and player may want.
When offering contracts you can now choose a role for the player you’re trying to sign eg Crucial Player, Important Player, Future Star. This expectation will effect whether a player chooses to join your club.
Prior to making a firm offer you can now make an Enquiry to find out whether a player is available and how much the club want for them.
You can now make offers for players directly from media stories by pressing the left stick.
A new Financial Strictness setting will limit the percentage of players sales that go back in to your transfer budget (chosen at the start of CM).

I am excited for manager mode. I must say I rarely play it because I get bored so quickly. Now I play together with a friend and we're currently in the 4th or 5th season. So we will definitely play this mode again. Things like youth development and transfer fees really annoyed us, but it seems to be fixed for the new FIFA.

I like the addition of managing international teams. I hope you're able to select players to go with you. It would be fun to try it with either a lot of young players, or with legends like Inzaghi and Del Piero.

I also can't wait to try out the new free kick and dribbling systems.
