that Gazzetta formation is BS. Allegri himself said Baoteng will start for sure ad he has to evalute the conditions of some of the players from the match Wednesaday like Urby and Pazzini. He also said Bojan may start from the 1st minute.

I think Cristante would get crushed in Serie A. Friendlies are a whole different game to official games..

The extra seconds he gets in Primavera and friendlies would be gone and the tackles would be twice as hard. I don't believe he's robust enough and he plays in a position which needs impact.

We all saw how ineffective Merkel(only said so because it happened quite often and he's brittle) or anyone else can be if muscled out by the other team. Cristante would be smashed to pieces.

I believe he's very talented, but there's no place for him in this team while we're struggling and he's still a white Jammin.

Where did he say this?

Anyway this 4-3-3 works better for Milan since anyway we have no real fantasista for CAM. As Boa cant pass really.

I assume Boa will play RW as Allegri will play 2 DM's and Montolivo again.

MAybe Bojan and not Pazzini, since Pazzo is PLAYING LIKE SHIT!

Too bad this defence has no Thiago, then we could talk about something. This way Im just waiting for some demolishing once a good team plays us.

that's probably the worst thing you could ever call cristante.

I know, but I had to think of something punchy.

Calling him a twig wouldn't suffice.

So nice to see the coach, again, call up 3 goalkeepers and will have 2 wasting on the bench:proud:. His cowardness truly knows no bounds.

Massimiliano Allegri on the eve of Parma-Milan: “It’ll be a tough game, Parma have a compact back line. We’ve dropped points but the league is long”.

MILANELLO – Here’s what the Rossoneri coach had to say during the pre Parma-Milan press conference

“If the young players are playing, it’s because they deserve to and it’s also thanks to the club’s work with the youth sector. El Shaarawy has improved a lot, most of in his off the ball movements. He looks more secure. He has a lot of technical and physical quality. He has to understand that he hasn’t done anything yet. In football the sign of a great player is to stay at the highest levels for a long time and to do that you can’t let things stick to you. He’s an intelligent lad and he understands this. It’s an important moment for him and the club. As I’ve said before there’s only one Milan, not ten of them. Everyone’s objective is to improve and keep things tight”.

“I’ll have to evaluate things today. We spent a lot of energy at Udine as well. There are a few players who have played a lot of football. Boateng will defitely be back, the others I don’t know about. We’re all fine though. Bojan might start, he’s not doing badly. Pazzini has come from a three month period when he didn’t play. I’m happy with what he done, he ran a lot against Cagliari”.

“The team had a good first half on Wednesday and they conceded little or nothing when it was time to defend. We have to make less mistakes and keep on playing. Against Udinese after 20 minutes the game was evenly balanced. We have to manage possession better and we have to be more calm. When we go ahead like we did against Bologna we seem to drop back a bit and we have to stop that from happening. There are positives though, we concede very little space in defense and we defende as a unit. That’s a step forward but we have to improve in how we control the game”.

“The team is working hard and the players have to show each other respect as this is what makes a good group. A coaches job is clear. He has to give instructions, chose the right players and can’t have favorites and he needs to have a compact group that works together for the result. When the players win it’s because they’re a good group with respect for one another. I had hoped we’d have had more points, we’ve made some mistakes but the league this year looks more evenly balanced even though Juventus are still the favorites. Napoli have their Europa League commitments but that’s not as heavy as the Champions League. We shouldn’t forget Inter and Roma. We’ll need balance in the difficult times. Having 2 or 3 extra points would be better but we don’t so now we’re thinking of Parma and then Zenit after that. The derby is the last game before the break”.

“Parma will be tough, they’re well organized and good at the back. We’ll have to very alert. It’s the third game in a week and there could be some fatigue. The bench will be very important tomorrow as when the players on the pitch start to fade, they can play their part. We have to start not conceding goals away from home as well and show some continuity. I think the team will do better tomorrow”.

“if you’re off the pitch, the game is less intense but you can see things better. I wasn’t worried on Wednesday and the team did well and of course Mauro was on the bench”.

“More than talking about formations and numbers, I think the game has to be played with the right concepts and good technique, defending all together. This year it’s tougher than ever to score in Italy and so the defense becomes ever more fundamental. You need to concede little to win the title”.

“Mauro Tassotti has important moral values that he has shown in his 32 years with the club. I’m happy to work with him and the others at the club. I haven’t spoken about the Cagliari result with the president. We needed the win and we got it. We could have played better but the important thing was to win”.

“With Pazzini we have to change the way we play up front and we need that capability. We’ll have to be good to change the way we play based on whether he’s there or nor”.

“Flamini has a swollen knee and after surgery that can happen, he was back after 6 months but you need time to get fitness levels back”.

“Pato is working well and when we get back from St Petersburg, he’ll join up with the rest of the team and I’ll evaluate if he’ll be available for the derby or not. I might ask him to play a couple of games with the youth team to build up his confidence”.

“Nocerino and bate went to the Euros and have been playing no stop. Abate is getting his fitness back and Nocerino gave us a lot of intensity against Udinese. It’s not strange with the way we’re playing now that he sees less of the ball when we’re pushing forward but he’s been working well in the defensive part of his game. When we get more fluidity it’ll be easier for him to get forward more”.

"Traorè played on Wednesday as I thought he’d be able to put in a good performance in the first half but he was late to the ball a few times which is normal as it’s his first game in a league that’s different o the one he comes from”.

“De Jong plays the ball well on the ground. He had a good first half but tactically he has to improve. Boateng is an all-round midfielder so it makes little difference if he plays a bit forward or a bit back”.

“I think from here on out, we have to make the most of the characteristics of the players we have. The team has to play better for the whole 90 minutes”.

Yes, 4-3-3!!!!! :star:

I don't think Noce will start, it'll hopefully be Monty-Ambro(De Jong)-Prince as the main three mids. Leave the three strikers as is (Urby-Pazzini-SES)

That's the way you do it, money for nothing

How can you leave a healthy Robinho out of the lineup? I think Robinho will be in for Urby. Urby either goes to the midfield or the bench. In Allegri's press conference and over the past week they've been discussiing Pazzini's playing condition seeing that he was frozen out at Inter and has really hit a rough patch. Bojan could start in his place.

SES-Bojan-Robinho can interchange and can cause havoc. I hope to see those three up top.

The important thing is to think about Zenit game which is on Wednesday, so it will be important for better players to have some rest, but again we need to win this to build confidence, so Allegri needs to think smart.

I would start this way against Parma:

Abbiati
De Sciglio Acerbi Zapata/Bonera Antonini
Boateng Ambrosini Montolivo
Robinho Pazzini/Bojan El Shaarawy

We need a tall CB to cope with Amauri, and Ambrosini to help on set pieces, which have proved to be the weakest point of this squad so far.

It would be nice to rest Ambro and Robinho with De Jong and Bojan at some point od the game because we'll need them fresh against Zenit.

mwahahahaaa Zapata will roast and eat Parma's little boys on the field.
Well that's a little cruel, I'll be happy if he only roasts them and let everyone else eat them :).

I want to keep trying De Sciglio on the left back, he does well there and I think he's a viable solution to the LB problem.

I'm not a big fan of Zapata-Mexes partnership, not cause of what happened last week, but cause of them are the same time of CBs and both are fans of going out with the ball a lot (which usually turns out into a lot of exposure). But oh well...lets see.

In case that Philippe Mexes plays tomorrow against Parma, it will be his game #200 in the Serie A, his 17th appearance with Milan.

he is 1.86m tall and weighs 78 kg... that is not small at all, what makes you think he would get pushed around?

Traore isn't even called up. That's how bad he was...

Was there a friction in the group? Allegri mentioned A LOT in his press con that all the players must have respect for each other... sounds suspicious.

3 points tomorrow are vital. We need a win tomorrow and vs Zenit to go to the derby on a high... I don't know how but we need to do it. Anything other than a win tomorrow would be a huge stepback... have a hunch it might end in a draw.

If that height and weight is true, he's actually pretty thin for someone his height. Not trying to be a fitness expert, but with only 78kg he probably wouldn't have enough muscle.

Donadoni: Milan is the past
By Football Italia staff

Parma Coach Roberto Donadoni says his connection to Milan will not distract him from the task at hand on Saturday.

Donadoni spent several years with the Rossoneri as a player, and has more recently been linked with their bench, Ducali President Tommaso Ghirardi having to deny 'The Don' would replace Massimiliano Allegri next summer.

“For me Milan represents the past,” he began in his pre-match Press conference.

“Even if the past is undoubtedly important, they are opponents this weekend. Sentiment cannot affect things, I am Parma's Coach now. Even it sounds banal, it is so, Milan are an opponent in the League and should be dealt with as such.”

A controversial injury time equaliser from Marco Borriello on Wednesday night allowed Genoa to take a point from Donadoni's side, but the former Italian international says his men have recovered well.

“We have not been involved in any kind of controversy, the boys were silent, but everyone can see and evaluate what happened. I will not say anymore in that regard now.

“Tomorrow morning I will do the last considerations for the starting XI. At the moment there are no guarantees. There are some players who are more tired. Some are more difficult to recover, we will see.”

In his interview with Gazzetta dello Sport today Ghirardi revealed he was working to extend Donadoni's contract at the Ennio Tardini.

“It makes me very happy, the ingredients are all here for continuity and what the President said gives me further encouragement and pride.”
