yeah and 4 whole players from that Spain team will start today... its practically the same game! :fp:

And that game was a complete tactical fuck up from Prandelli. Italy neutered Spain in the group stages with the 3-5-2 and they werent helped having their best defender go out with an injury after 20 minutes.

Additionally, Bonucci has been phenomenal this year, he has grown a ton as a player.

Italy didn't neuter shit...Spain were playing in first gear(aka not giving a fuck) throughout the whole Euro's...they shifted to second gear in the final and we saw what happened

Barcelona would only get 1 goal against that Milan side. The defense, midfield, and forwards that Milan had were better. Yeah Barcelona could try their tiki taka but we've seen how a physical player with good positioning (Javi Martinez) shut down Xavi and Iniesta well. Now imagine Ancelotti, Rijkaard, and Colombo on them and Busquets. Donadoni, Gullit, and van Basten would punish their weak defense as well.

Sacchi's Milan also has tactical flexibility. Sacchi played a 4-4-2 that often changed to a 4-3-3 with Colombo playing as the LCM alongside Rijkaard (anchor) and Ancelotti (RCM) as well as Donadoni playing as a right winger who would switch flanks with Gullit.

Farty you really think Milan wouldn't have exploited Barcelona's high defensive line? Gullit, Donadoni, and van Basten would expose that shit so easily given how slow Puyol and Abidal are and how bad Pique and Alves are in positioning.

In the first game Spain had the ball a lot but really couldnt do much with it.

And the Final score wasn't representative of the game either. Spain had 52% of the possession and outshot Italy 14-11. Spain did much better converting their chances, but its not like Italy looked like they didnt belong on the same pitch. Di Natale especially really should have scored 1-2 times and found a way to miss when the game was still 2-0.
