Bonera wanted to thank Mauro Tassotti for helping him to play in the right-back role - which was his in the past - thus allowing him to prove his worth in one of the few chances he had to play from the start this season.
A recent injury to Oddo has seen Bonera rejoin the fray, and he feels that he took his chance well.
“It’s been a few games since our last win at San Siro and this win pleases me a lot,” commented the former Parma player with regards to the 3-1 win.
“Personally I always try to be available for the coach and the team, and I must thank Mauro Tassotti, who is a great teacher for me, and when he used to play in this role he was a great champion,” he added.
“Physically I feel well, at times I do unthinkable thing and find the space in a squad where there are great champions like Maldini and Kaladze. This fills me with pride because it’s difficult and I always try to adapt to the needs of the team.
“During the week, the coach was good to spur us on and make us feel calm, and tonight we proved that at Milanello the atmosphere is serene," concluded Bonera.
Forza Bonera and Tassotti lol
