By the rate things are going, i'll still be on The Witcher 3 until December.

Great game. To think i played the second one & put it down after 20 minutes. So looks like i'll be giving Batman a skip for a while, at least

Interesting, I haven't tried any of the Witcher games but heard Witcher 3 is pretty kick ass. I just don't fancy its story plot enough to buy it.

There's MGSV coming up in Sept. Quantum Dreams should release a game for ps4.

There are definitely better RPGs... But you can't discount the impact this had on console gaming.

It singlehandedly brought rpgs out of Japan into mainstream gaming around the world.

It's a definite next gen must buy. I don't know how they could fuck this up... 95% chance of nostalgia heaven

IMO, it's not even the best of the FF titles that came out for PS1, let alone the entire series.
But I can't deny that it's the one that I'm most emotionally tied to.

The only way Square can fuck this up is by not implementing a turn-based battle system.

Hitman looks good, never played any of it tho.

Is anybody disappointed at the supposedly "next-generation" consoles? I don't feel much of a difference from ps3 graphics for example. Hitman is looking much better than other games, but there are still some scenes where you feel like it's something you'd see in a ps3 game.

Not going to deny, FF7 was the first RPG I played. I was 9.

But like General said, you can't deny its legacy.
Even if it isn't your favorite game, RPG or even FF... unless you haven't played it, it's hard to say you didn't enjoy it.

The demand for this remake from the past decade speaks for itself.

I didn't really know since I was not following e3 this year
And at first I thought SE trolled their fans again

I was just trolling about the overrated bit lol...but I think it's a bad game personally
FF7 is a tedious game...I tried it but dropped it after leaving Midgar because of how slow it was
It also pissed me off so many times...I was almost ready to throw my controller at the TV screen when I made the decision to enter Shinra HQ by the back-door(which I thought was the right choice) and then the game punished me for that by making me climb stairs for half an hour...WTF? I was so angry
I got so little enjoyment out of it and I don't get how so many people enjoy it

So in conclusion I've always thought it was unenjoyable,boring,bad game
If I said this about any other game nobody would bat an eye
But when I say it about FF7 the fanboys are ready to eat me alive
I don't give a shit tbh

What legacy? It's legacy was terrible
It had a huge negative impact on the Japanese RPG Market by everybody trying to copy it's success and having dozens upon dozens of shovelware JRPG's which most people don't give a fuck about
Huge Swords and Spiky Hair everywhere too
I don't know if that's a legacy to be proud of

Also as I posted above...I did play the game...I don't think it's anymore overrated than a lot of big games(was just trolling there) but I think it's a bad game and I didn't get that much enjoyment out of it...instead I just got bored or pissed off

That's only because of the E3 Tech Demo thingy they showed in 2006 and people felt like SE owed this remake to them

Got better reviews on other websites, but I usually count on GameSpot's reviews.
