Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Cassano came as great bargains because of the situations at their respective former clubs. It's a great credit to Galliani that he was able to work out a deal for all three, but that doesn't mean that Milan is going to abandon its attempts at maintaining a sound financial footing to embark on a Madrid-like gallactico policy and rack up big debts. Milan will try to find good, promising players who will fit what Allegri wants to do at a reasonable price (at least in terms of today's silly market). If another bargain on a big name comes along, Galliani will pounce. Cesc Fabregas is not in a situation that creates a bargain, but rather a situation that would inflate the market. Arsenal wants to keep him and Barcelona is probably willing to pay over-market (as would Madrid just to trump Barca). I doubt that's something in which Milan would seriously involve themselves.
agreed, lets not splurge now, and cause more problems in future. we dont have other clubs treating us like manc, chelsea, barca and madrid and start ripping us off.
double
Seems like everyone here wants this deal for some reasons I obviously can understand, but most of you forget the financial aspect of the deal and its long-term impact.
Its sad to say, but money is the key factor for success today. So we should focus on smart deals (Witsel), invest little for, hopefully, big results. We should tend to that rather investing 60 milions in a one shot deal.
What if Cesc flops, or is average ?
