Milan will be without Mathieu Flamini, Philippe Mexes, Pippo Inzaghi or the mysteriously injured Stephan El Shaarawy for the Italian Super Cup.

The Rossoneri fly out to Beijing for the clash with Inter on August 6 and El Shaarawy was hoping to make his official debut.

“He had only one training session at Milanello and then had to stop,” explained Coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The Corriere dello Sport suggests the teenager is suffering from a knee inflammation, but information is scarce.

This formation is awfully offensive. I'd play only one from Clarence and Robi and throw Ambro in. Also, Taiwo is banned, Zambro should play there.

anyone else curious to see boateng @ RCM and seedorf in anchor role?

it worked well a couple times in europe....

Granted we got van bommel but when he's not out, i'm not convinced ambrosini is better than clarence in this role. Atleast i'd try fliping them (Clarence anchor, ambrosini LCM)

now its seedorf era, seedorf will play as LCM because he is the only creative player in the midfield.
Seedorf as an anchor is :star:

when we have lot of creativity ahead of him but now allegri is researching on shutting the stop infront of the defense Ambro or Bommel are the specialists.

Seedorf is not going to have an aerial supremacy, that much ass cant defy gravitation. Seedorf plays great in few matches as anchor then he goes back to shitting.......

As long as there is no replacement in LCM seedorf will play.. please milan fucking buy a technical LCM so that we can do to him what kaka did to rui and what bommel did to pirlo

and lets see if he is of rui class, sitting in the bench gracefully :star:

and mentoring others or kicking bottles

oh and boateng is going to suck as RCM famini or rino will play better because boa will not cover fr abate who is very much overrated in this forum maybe due to lack of proper RB in italy.

Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini confirms Japanese defender Yuto Nagatomo will miss Supercoppa Italiana

Inter boss Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed Yuto Nagatomo will definitely miss the Supercoppa Italiana after suffering a shoulder injury in Saturday's pre-season clash with Celtic.

The 24-year-old Japan international had to be replaced after just 14 minutes of Saturday's game after suffering what Sky Sport Italia reported was a dislocated shoulder.

Gasperini confirmed Nagatomo will now to miss the Supercoppa Italiana in Beijing against Milan next Saturday.

"Unfortunately this was always a risk playing in these tournaments,” Gasperini told the club's website.

“We're definitely going to be without Nagatomo for Beijing so we'll evaluate whether we need to recall some of the players who were given extra leave after the Copa America, which is what we had said and agreed was a possibility."

It is not yet clear if Nagatomo will be available for the start of the new Serie A season which begins on August 27, although it appears certain he will miss Japan's August 10 friendly against Korea.
