Just watched the "highlights" of the game and it wasn't good. But most important we reached the last 16 and that is the thing that matters! I would be quite pissed off if we didn't pass the group stage, but that's not going to happen anymore!

Because of circumstances it's not likely we win another CL-cup this year, so after this group phase every stage we pass is a victory in itself.

Pirlo's goal remind me of the one he scored in the first game of WC 06 (who was it? Ghana? US?) and once again it was a beauty, although Benfica's goal was everybit like that.
That was against Ghana from a short corner kick. Uefa.com's users voted Andrea as MOM ... thats what, his 4th or 5th this season? He probably is leading in MOTMs among all our players this season ;)
As for Ronaldo there should be a picture of him next to the words Injury-Proned. He can't even warm-up without getting hurt.
Try explaining that to the Fatso-thread patrol ... and they claim we're deluding ourselves

As for the game, considering what form we are in + the suspensions and injuries we're dealing with at the moment, a 1-1 draw was a good result. Our place in the next round is certain, but we really should finish first. I know teams like Arsenal, Lyon and Liverpool might be content with a runner-up spot, and that may complicate matters, but having the second leg at home is equally if not more important. Besides, Chelsea, Manure, Real and Barca aren't easier opponents.

Grade Andrea :proud:

Everyone who is still malcontent after the last twenty years of trophies should hire Guido Rossi

Guido Rossi is a former member of the Inter board of directors in the nineties, during calciopoli trial he was "elected" Head of the Italian Football Association and he stripped Juventus of their two last Scudetti and gave the last one to Inter. He wasn't able to do so for the 2004-2005 one as Inter was third behind Milan, and despite his great efforts he couldn't finding anything incriminating on us, so instead of giving it to us as it should have following the logic of the 2005-06 one assigned to Inter, he decided to not allow it to anyone. Justice at it's best, even the Maffia is more honest.

To top it all, after Juventus was demoted to Serie B and Fiorentina, Lazio and Milan slapped with a ton of penalisation points, giving Inter a massive head-start for their second in a row "honest"Scudetto, he resigned as Head of the FIGC and immediatly was assigned as Director of TIM (Italia Telecom), interesting enough TIM is a main sponsor of Inter Milan and was also the firm that recorded the intercepted phone calls that lead to the calciopoli scandal to begin with.

So basicaly Guido Rossi is Moratti's puppet/marionet or whatever you call it. Currently he stopped being Director of TIM too and is enjoying a fat retirement check and his lifetime VIP season ticket at Inter Milan, a very honest and nice person thanked for a job well done.

actually Guido Rossi didn't resign as Head of FIGC... he was made to step down as his post as Director of Italia Telecom was a conflictin' role...

thank you, brother for posting, but i won't download it.A big "GO" for the minimal is obvious for Milan in this game.As stated in official site::"The objection is qualification" - right before the game, said it all.

A win or a draw last night makes no difference to the Celtic game, it means Milan still need a point to top the group.

Absolutely right, it does matter. Even a win this game wouldn't guarantee us of a #1 position in the group.

In both cases, we have to get at least 1 point in order to secure # 1 spot in the group.

BTW, a lot of people assuming that being # 1 we will be able to avoid a big name team.

But that is not true since both LIVERFOOL and REAL can qualify by being # 2 teams in their respective groups.

Whether you consider them as a big name team or not, that is another issue!!

At this point, I am more worried about qualifying for the group stages and then focus on the INTERCONTINENTAL CUP.
