He was not an extremely very talented striker. Only such criteria could be listed in our striker department [first team player]. We really have a very high standard for a striker.
For a backup purpose, we already have many options: Comi, Paloschi, Beretta, Ganz, etc.

matri is better and fills a position of need
Senatore...cmone man. Seriously...
Matri is the epitome of AVERAGE. Hes 28 years old, barley scores double digits in double to triple the appearances and commands a high transfer fee to our RIVAL.
I dont know where this crush of yours started to develop but i know you dont trully think that.
This guy is 23 and had two great seasons,particularly this one. Did i mention hes 23? Oh,did i mention hes not in a club thats considered our rival? Lets not forget he has a higher potential than matri and are almost if not already equal in terms of talent.

He officialy is a BVB player. Milan board imagine him upfront with Balo
Facts:
- Taiwo second best LB in League 1 the year that we got him. In Italy, worst LB seen in years.
- Traore regarded as the new Patrick Viera in League 1. In Italy, makes Nocerino look world class.
- Niang scored many goals in League 1. In Italy, ZERO goals. (still young though.)
Notice something in common.
@tancredipalmeri
Two years ago Milan sold Aubameyang to Saint-Etienne for 1m €. Now Saint-Etienne sold him to Borussia for 15m €, after 37 goals in 87 games
@Milanello 14h
Turns out that Dortmund have paid €18m for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang - not €15m. @Aubameyang7
Pete Acquaviva @PDAcquaviva 14h
@Milanello Do Milan receive a sell-on fee from his transfer?
AC Milan News @Milanello 14h
@PDAcquaviva Yes.

Transfer fee correction looks like inside info to me ...
The Borussia Dortmund attacker was clocked at 3.7 seconds over a 30-metre run - faster than the Jamaican sprinter at the start of his record-breaking 100m in Berlin in 2009New Borussia Dortmund signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has wasted no time impressing his new employers after he was timed sprinting at a speed faster than Usain Bolt.
The 24-year-old ran 30 metres in 3.7 seconds while at Dortmund's pre-season training camp in Bad Ragaz in Switzerland - almost 0.1 seconds faster than the iconic Olympian in his record-breaking 100m run in Berlin in 2009.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc was left stunned by the former Saint-Etienne striker's achievement, telling Bild: "Pierre is surely one of the fastest players who has ever played here."
Legendary coach Otto Pfister, who has known Aubameyang throughout his career, has warned the Bundesliga to be wary of the Gabon international's threat next season.
"Aubameyang will be fatal to the Bundesliga - but only to his opponents," he added. "I've never seen a player so explosive as he."
Aubameyang, who joined BVB in a reported €13 million deal from Saint-Etienne last week, made his first appearance for Jurgen Klopp's side in a 3-1 win over Basel on Wednesday.
nice capture by Dortmund,to take Aubame(and Mkhita too),so much goddamn pace-good for their pressing and counter attack football and the footbonaut gonna increase there technique even more
