Molto bene.. that was proper European performance.

Hakan, Silva :star: Antonelli and Biglia next best.. The whole team was great.

can you please stop jinxing Hakan? i'm falling in love as well, but he has to show 1: consistency and 2: these kind of performances against quality opposition.

I remember reading someone calling Andre Silva with hat trick today?

Leaf was it? Hats off to you. If not, I apologize, but nonetheless great job

I predicted that he would score....turns out I was 300% right :D

Don't know if he will ever excel against quality teams that can put pressure.

Nice game, nice rotations as well.. maybe only i would've prefered Locatelli, but i guess he didnt want to risk too much after a bad defeat.

3rd (i think?) goal was so nice, from the start-Biglia, to Hakan pass, and finishing ofc.. so awesome.
Kalinic also did great job, but he didnt score.
Also, i actually think Suso will be better playing closer to the goal like this as he really improved his shooting alot

Great game from the team! Some players performed quite well, some were average but overall we were pretty solid and compact and bounced back mentally from the Lazio loss. Props to the squadra e allenatore

Great performance from the entire team.
Vienna however were dreadful. Most serie A matches is gonna be waaaaaay tougher than tonight's game. Even if we can't be certain that 352 is working well for us based on tonight's performance, we do know one thing for sure: Silva is a beast in front of goal.

this worries me as well

but not only quality top teams, but tactically smart mid table serie a teams as well.

gonna be interesting to see how he does, the ceiling is high. who knows, maybe he'll be inconsistent this whole season to become better next year.

nothing, but he wasnt better than kalinic or kessie

In other news:

I really hope Montella plays this formation with Silva-KaliGOAT up front.
This is a budding partnership with potential.

Pls don't fuck this up :fp:

Summary:

- Great result.

- Hakan, Silva were the stars of the night.

- Romagnoli was excellent so it was Bonucci.

- Zapata was 99% concentrated.

- Antonelli and Abate were poor IMO. More Abate than Antonelli but Abate gave more solidity in defense.

- Biglia and Kessie were good.

- Kalinic was good but not great. He might not be a superstar but he did the dirty job.

Only it matters is that we won after the awful performance against Lazio to give a boost in morale.

Hope to see 3-5-2 against Udinese and then we should see if it is suited for our players. Hakan, Silva, Biglia were all great tonight. We need to see more of Hakan and Silva in serie a. Hopefully the two become great.

Did anyone see how Silva kinda pushed Kalinic away and ran to Hakan, when Silva scored his first goal.

I love how at the end Bonucci went looking for a ball to give to Andre Silva for his hatrick. Finally, a captain.

Obviously Milan is on another level as a team, but Austria are not bad at taking set pieces in general.

Very good performance by Milan, passing and especially positioning looked excellent from the stadium POV.
I felt like Kessie was a bit lucky not to get a second yellow as he committed a tactical foul at the end of first half, maybe it looked different on TV.

Obviously Silva had a good game with 3 goals but goddamn Hakan was on fucking point today. He made things happen and the effort he showed with the tackle and assist for the second goal were an example to follow.

Much love for our boys for this game.

Suso goal - while from my view a mistake from the goalie - was still a great way to put the cherry on top.

Roma & Zapata did really well defensively, even though Roma didn't have much to do. Not sure who messed up on the set piece vs us, I didn't see that one unfortunately.

All in all it's a very good start to our group stage and just the result we needed after the Lazio game.

Forza Milan!

for us winning the serie a he wont have to..

if you beat every small team, but lose against the top 3 quality teams (i'll say roma, napoli and juventus), you're still first in the league

(would equal to 96 points)

cl is another story though...

Yes it was a 3-4-1-2 when we lit it up.

Moved on to a sort of 3-4-2-1 after Suso came on for Kalinic. Bona moved ahead and Hakan withdrew a little.
