tomorrow at 12.00CET

btw, how does this sound??

Inter match put back a week
Tuesday, 14 December 2004 FC Internazionale Milano will play the return leg of their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie on 15 March 2005.

Home advantage
The game was initially scheduled for 8/9 March but has been postponed because Inter and AC Milan, who share the San Siro stadium, both finished top of their respective groups to earn home advantage in the return leg in the round of 16. However, UEFA rules do not allow two games to be played in the same stadium on consecutive days.

Group victors
The Nerazzurri won Group G ahead of Werder Bremen, Valencia CF and RSC Anderlecht, while their city rivals Milan topped Group F ahead of FC Barcelona, FC Shakhtar Donetsk and Celtic FC. The draw for the first knockout round will take place on 17 December at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, with the first-leg matches to be staged on 22/23 February.

i think it is good because of the following schedule:

3/13/2005 Milan - Sampdoria
3/6/2005 Atalanta - Milan
3/20/2005 Roma - Milan

Porto would be ideal. :D

A Manchester matchup is a possibility with this new format, which I don't mind in the least. The urgency begins much sooner.

I would prefer the easier teams first. PSV or Porto. Builds the momentum
;)
Let the big boys knock each other out. And later we'll take care of the rest.

Obviously i would prefer an easier team to start with but i do not think that any team that we could draw should give us too much trouble!

I couldn't agree more. Champions League always have many surprises, last year being the most IMO. However, if Milan should play one of the big teams, I wouldn't mind. We are currently far more superior than the rest of the teams, only Barca, Chelsea and Juve are in the same level with us. A dream semi final will be us facing Real and Chelsea vs Barca. With us beating Chelsea in the final!

But be it ManU, Real or Muenchen, bring them on! As long as there will be no slip ups like the Depor game last season.

PSV would be great, but it doesn't matter much, we can beat them all.

Oh boy oh boy! Many great match-ups!

Fergie wants us and he got it.
Mourinho wants Barca and he got them.

So it is Milan - ManU... as Ferguson had been 'predicting' for days, if not weeks. Draws aren't what they used to be either ;)

Would have liked to see Milan play a German side, to be sure to see the match...

Barcelona - Chelsea ... just what Mourinho wanted too :D

Juve - Real ... looks like Real doesn't enjoy much UEFA protection anymore... ;)

mmmm i think Milan got the second hardest (after Real) team they could have possibly got. Well, Man Utd...better them than Real IMO.

YES BARCA VS CHELSEA <-----what a match
MADRID VS JUVE another beauty.

Well...I'm quite happy with the draw.
ESPN is sure to show a ManU match here.

Barcelona - Chelsea (Chelsea)

I think Mourinho's too smart for Barca. Expect a dull match, with chelsea stifling BArca's creative players and grinding out a result. Not pretty but Jose knows how to get a result.

PSV - AS Monaco (AS Monaco )
Presently, Monaco seems to have the better experience and firepower.

Disagree. Leverkusen will kick Loserpool *out*. I'm really getting in touch with my patriotic side I sense... :D

As for Chelsea vs Barcelona... Chelsea. I couldn't care less about that one cos I hate both of them, but you're absolutely correct in saying Mourinho knows how to get results... They also know how to defend. Maybe even better than Milan.

PSV vs Monaco... Monaco of course.

And NO Bayern, thank you  (What's with the patriotic streak I was just bragging about ? Gone already again :D)
