That's the point. He just does to much on the field to pass up. A very complete mid for such a price. I would love to see him in red & black next season.

Judging Badelj in this current Fiorentina is counter-productive, Fiorentina's season is over the moment Souza declared he won't extend contract, add to that Badelj does not wanna play for Fiorentina and he's only playing out of professional courtesy.

Badelj is one of the best Deep laying playmakers out there, he's no anchor, you're just confusing yourselves with what he's good for.

his role isn't scoring and providing assists, he literally plays as a the last midfielder, little ahead of center backs.

Badelj actually dribbles a lot. Honestly if you're a random person who just started watching Serie A and watched a random Fio game he and Valero will stand out as you kept watching the game. They have legitimate talent and skills, I think what you mean is they aren't really flashy which is true.

But badelj breaks ankles every couple of games. He's insanely good with the ball and will dribble out of any situation.
