Milan: 'Closing problems clarified soon'


Milan TV have confirmed “small problems that should be clarified, one way or the other, by tonight or tomorrow morning” with regards to the closing.

Multiple reports emerged during the day that the planned closing of the sale to Chinese investors, set for March 3, would be postponed again.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore, this is because some of the investors pulled out of the group, leaving only Yonghong Li as sole owner of Sino-Europe-Sports.

This evening Milan’s official television station made a statement that is not entirely reassuring to fans.

“According to our official sources, there are some meetings on-going between Fininvest and Sino-Europe-Sports, as some small problems have emerged that should be clarified, one way or the other, by tonight or tomorrow morning.”

It’s reported SES want to hand over the remaining €320m for the closing in several instalments, as they do not have the full sum available.

If, and it's a huge fucking if, considering the fucking hysteria this rumour, and that's all it is, a fucking rumour, has caused, the money would be transferred from Fininvest back to them, none of the money went to the club.

No, the huge fucking if, will this sale ever come to pass. The hysteria relates to the Chinese supposedly buying the club.

Ever the most ardent of optimists must accept a deal of this nature(after x amount of delays) doesn't just stall due to lack of funds merely days out from the closing.

It's not an if but a when the sale will complete.

The deal is closer to completion than it is to falling apart.

Really..? how can we have confidence in new owners that have continuously failed to get the funds required to close the sale. We expect them to then bring the club back from mediocrity.

It's looking more likely now, that we'll continue next season going life or death with teams like Sassuolo, Udinese, Chievo etc :fp:
