i doubt allegri really did say that to gattuso. maybe something was lost in translation, but that phrase sounds really stupid. anyway i don't think allegri is being given much choice here. and remember he still has to prove himself at milan, so he has to take whatever shit the idiotic management throw at him

^ Exactly. Like it or not, its a lifetime opportunity to be head coach of a team of Milan's stature. A lot of coaches would love to coach Milan - only the elite can be picky. Allegri isn't at that level yet, so Milan stands as a huge opportunity for him to get there. Also, if you can survive in Milan with this management, you can survive anywhere.

He had a press conference 4 the emirates cup and he seems to be promoting Flamini alot. He said he should have a large role this year and also confirmed he needs another MF to accompany what i guess is pirlo and flams this season. Finally no more ambrosini starting? OK, im beginning to like allegri<3

Ambrosini was very good last season ? Why the hate ? I'm not saying he will pull it again this year and we need another midfielder for sure, but still, not a reason whatsoever to bash Ambrosini.

Eh? I aint hating or bashing at all, I just think its time to move on, rejuvenate a MF that badly needs it. And i really wouldnt call ambrosinis last years season very good. He was decent during many games, fell apart completely @ the end. If flamini still continues to get wasted on the bench he will never get back to his arsenal form. Even though ambrosini did do a good enough job and really is the only MF that deserves a pass for last season hes still overated and we could do alot better. If flamini turns out shit than we will also need a new DM sadly.

LOL at people bashing Ambro, like Pedro said he is our best defensive midfielder.Flamini is just a beast running around like crazy,Ambro has skill, good in the air and he is a true leader.

He is our captain, why do people think Allegri wont play him.He will play together with Flamini.

What this talk about ambro is our best defensive midfielder last season ?
Leo mostly put him as box-to-box (central MF)
so ?

as far I care no one of our player that put as DM playing good last season (pirlo, gattuso, flamini.)

Hmm ... with Flamini getting more trust I don't think he'll push Ambro out necessarily. I mean if it's true that we are going to play with 3 in the midfield they'll probably both get enough starts. Seedorf, Gattuso will take the hit IMO.

With our current squad both Ambrosini and Flamini need to start in the tougher matches of this season.

Although I had a lot of admiration and affection towards Leonardo for what he was able to achieve at times last season (beautiful football with a great morale in camp) knowing he was always going to leave after 1 or 2 seasons from the beginning was not comforting and didn't allow us to really believe we could be successful.

With Allegri, we've got a more experienced and italian manager who has ambition and desire with a clear plan. He seems to know exactly how to do his job as best as possible and I have faith he'll get the best out of everyone. Unlike all the other fans here, I really never expected us to sign anyone who would actually be worthwhile
signing, so I've been shocked to see Papa join and hear about the possibility of a CM (like Poli) coming here too. If we can I hope we can get rid of Jankulovski, Oddo, Kaladze and Gattuso too, to allow us to advance. Today we witnessed we have some very good youngstars, like Merkel (who hadn't even received much hype) who are composed and hungry for success and will play better for much cheaper! Lets just wait and see, I hope August can be a good month for us, because despite how critical some people here are we still have world class players and a chance against a weaker Inter team, mainly because of Mourinho's exit

Also disliking the hate towards Ambrosini, the guy deserves respect. He's still an amazing player who played too much last season. Allegri, unlike Leonardo will make more appropriate substitutions depending on the scenario, I hope. That way we'll get maximum effectiveness from he and the other older guys

indeed. however i do like Amrosini's style as i have had to play CDM sometimes so that i appreciated his destructiveness, his agression and his strength. i look up to him and Maldini (i played left back too.) i think Ambrosini played his heart out last season as he always does. people who discredit him simply do not understand him or football for that matter. he's our captain and i believe we owe him our respect because he's earned it. with the right training and coaching he can go on playing for a couple of years again, but he'll have to prove that he can though. he's one of the hardest working players on the pitch and just because he's not a fancy-footed sleek-passing suit who scores many goals and wins matches, what he does for us in the middle of the park is invaluable. the only person who can take his place for now would probably be the jewel of Sierra Leone.

Flamini as i had realised is not a pure DM. and in the past it seems to me that our previous coaches gave him the responsibilities of a DM whenever they put him on the pitch, which is why sometimes he slide-tackles badly and gets a yellow/red. again he's under-utilised, which is why Allegri wants to raise Flamini's level of football; because he can do much more. i saw someone said, that Flamini is just crazy and runs around the pitch without knowing what to do. that's because of the previous coaches. don't blame the player. you'd have to have been on a football pitch to understand why the player cant be blamed. he just isnt suited to pure DM. which is why him and Ambrosini can play together. let Gattuso sit on the bench.

and at times even Ambrosini was played out of position too last season. he was played as a box-to-box midfielder on the left or right. in actuality that's more of the kind of player that Flamini is. i trust that Allegri would get these issues sorted out pretty quickly and also in a decent manner so that by the time we start playing in the league and stuff, we'll be a kick-ass team. (despite the oldies who don't want to leave)

I'm never happy
