Maldini always said and will keep saying they need 3 to 4 seasons of consistent CL football to start making the real signings they want. The fact that we jumped from 6 to 2 in the table last season, and now have been toward the top again is a good thing, it’s not a missed opportunity. Of course us fans always want to go for it and we should, but in terms of the plan they have no reason to stray from it. Let's put the romanticism aside. The 5m wildcard has been in play for a few seasons. Do you guys actually follow the process. The stadium won't be here until 2027, more likely 2030. The club has to generate extra revenue through player sales at some point. Kalulu, Fode, Pobega, Gabbia, Lazetic and likely Thiaw would be a collection primed to develop either at Milan or else where to maximize their values. They eventually earn a place in the first 11 or provide a nice return on the initial modest investment. Either way, Milan profits on their growth.
