We've been linked to him for years, but rumours seem to be getting more serious now
I loved him at his Lecce period and he has grown a lot since then
I think it's fair to have some doubts about him being good enough for Milan tho
He's a great passer and plays with a lot of passion on the field
So far he only has 2 caps for gli Azzurri, but he made in the current selection
There is competition from Roma, but it seems he prefers Milan over them

if roma own half of him how can we get him if they want him?

AC_Wesley 07-06-2015 15:49

A good addiction to the team. How much would he cost us?

PRIYO 07-06-2015 16:14

Yes very much please

He'd be a good addition to the team: still young, quite skilled + plays with a lot of heart

Based on all your arguments, you clearly know what you're talking about.

Mario 07-06-2015 18:52

Sign

Re the price: It was rumored Genoa's half will cost around 6m, although Zapata could be included. Roma own the 2nd half and would like to bring him back, possibly to replace Pjanic who could be leaving.

Goodfella 08-06-2015 04:11

How is he defensively?(please don't post tackles & interceptions avg)

6 goals and 8 assists is veery good, but CMs with those numbers tend to play very advanced, leave holes behind and generally not think like a midfielder.

It seems he also works hard off ball, but the same goes for Bonaventura, who is not really a CM.

For the midfield, I'd rather get a proper B2B and/or anchor than an AM.

AsparagusFC 08-06-2015 09:52

Alex Song ples

anyway, from the video he looks more attack minded for b2b.

defensive not the best at his position, but definitely not as offensive like Bonaventura
he mainly plays as CM (right & left), he loves to make his rushes with the ball

AsparagusFC 08-06-2015 10:06

Bonaventura Bertolacci
Busquets

Not offensive not defensive..... where will he contribute

Tadej 08-06-2015 10:28

We already have jack, bertolacci is similar to him...we need an anchor like xabi and a runner like khedira. We need mids with different characteristics. But u know our management...they will looking for defence and attack.

not as offensive as Giacomo, but still offensive
he would do a better job than Bona on the LCM

he's kinda an all-rounder

Bona is an LM/LW or AM
Bertolacci is an CM

how is that the same?

just like Jack had some critics last year, Bertolacci would be a good signing

Bona needs a better coach and a bit more time in midfield to get used to the position. He has all the tools to be a great all-rounder.

He is flexible, but i don't think he is quite quick enough to play on the wing, or have as much vision as is required to be AM. He can definitely play there if it is needed, but shouldn't be a starter as LW or AM.

Similar isnt the same in my dictionary.

Bertolacci is more AM than CM...both are all rounder, nothing special.

Polotelli 08-06-2015 13:40

:fp:

this feels like the same debate I had last year, when people said Bona is to similar as Poli
where you one of them?

necromancer 08-06-2015 13:45

Bertolacci may very well be a must sign player, considering everything. He could be to us for the next five years, what Marchisio is to Juve.

King George 08-06-2015 14:27

Yes ples

Why do people think this is funny?

Sven 08-06-2015 19:20

Both Bona and Bertolacci are AM/wingers "converted" to deeper roles. Bertolacci played as AM/second striker in the season Genoa almost got relegated... One of the few players who did well that season.

They both have trouble defensively, that they sort of make for it with running.

Bertolacci plays a heavier game though. He's more natural to CM than Bonaventura.

We got many players leaving and we will need depth. Bertolacci will be at least very useful

Exacly, man:thumbsup:

Mario 08-06-2015 22:44

He has been playing as a CM for Genoa since last season. Every single game this year hes played was as one of the CM's in a 2 man midfield (343). He is a CM, an offensive minded one

I don't think we would be buying Bertolacci for depth.

Bertolacci-NDJ-Montolivo

I can't see that turn out well.

milanicious 09-06-2015 03:08

The way Genoa plays their CMs aren't involved at all in the build up , he is a good player but the priority should be a real CM.

Mario 09-06-2015 10:46

Genoa's half is said to be worth 5-7m, and who knows how much Roma will demand since they want to keep him? Milan won't be paying +- 12m for a depth player, Bertolacci is good enough to start. The dream would be 1 big CM + Bertolacci, :g: seems to want Kondogbia

Anyways Sky reported Atletico have entered the race to sign him

I've heard Roma wants to keep him, so if Genoa is willing to sell half for 6mil, I see Roma asking for 10m.
He's good, but not 16m good.

Polotelli 09-06-2015 12:30

he's not gonna cost 16m

AsparagusFC 10-06-2015 10:36

please dont talk bertolacci like he's end product.

he still can develop his defensive duty

Polotelli 10-06-2015 23:04

@Milanello: Milan are still very interested in signing Bertolacci (co-owned by Genoa & Roma). Galliani spoke about him again with Preziosi today. [Sky]

The rumours are not dead!

Polotelli 11-06-2015 00:08

Milan?s Galliani contacts Genoa about midfielder Bertolacci
Quote:

Milan is targeting many players to get back to the top. After Ibrahimovic, Jackson Martinez and Miranda the rossoneri's next target is Genoa midfielder Bertolacci. Galliani contacted Genoa today about him, the rossoneri are very interested in him and they are willing to invest in him for the future. However before Milan can take the next step, Bertolacci's co ownership between Roma and Genoa needs to be resolved, which is a big hurdle for the rossoneri considering that Roma is determined to bring Bertolacci back to Italy's capital.

necromancer 11-06-2015 03:36

This guy could end up being our best signing sul campo in this high profile transfer window.

Ender 11-06-2015 04:38

A lot of these deals will depend on the midfield transfers of Roma and Juventus.
One between Bertolacci and Nainggolan is staying at Roma, there's no way in hell that Roma is losing both midfielders, though depending on how good Strootman is physically, Roma might buy both midfielders. It will get some cash from Gervinho and maybe some cash from Pjanic (or Strootman if Van Gaal is still interested).

On the other hand, now that they bought Khedira, Juventus will press for Nainggolan only if they sell one of Vidal/Pogba or if Pirlo leaves.
Too many ifs, personally I think there's at most 25% chance of getting Bertolacci.

A midfield of Bonaventura, Montolivo, Bertolacci would be an upgrade over Muntari De Jong Poli that we had this season, especially in terms of ball control and creativity.

I also doubt we'll get both Bertolacci and Kondogbia especially if we're gonna play a 4-2-3-1 as mentioned in some media (though doubt Berlusconi will like a formation without two strikers)

AndreiX 11-06-2015 06:46

I think him + Ibra would be quite a nice combo.

If Ibra managed to help Noce reach the Azzurri, I can't imagine what he could do with Bertolacci

Brutalitops 12-06-2015 07:54

Read somewhere Roma were super close on him

Shucks
