El Shaarawy had one of his best matches in the sense of getting himself more involved in Milan's buildups. I was very impressed. His workrate is just beyond this world; he was only missing the goal, for mine.

It's easier in hindsight to blame Allegri for not starting Abate given the result; however, Abate is important to this Milan team. This was a match where perhaps he would've been much more suited to given the manner in which Roma play.

The problem is we have no game plan!!! (Well, unless you count our new refine tactics: When in doubt cross fingers, toes and into the box!)

We concede goals in transition – notably from when we have to switch from attacking to defending. Players need to focus more both in possession and off the ball. The space between the midfield and the defense is far too large. Allegri needs to get the team playing more compact between the lines.

Abate is still recovering fitness. He had a disruptive preseason which in turn is affecting his performances. De Sciglio has come into the lineup and is holding his own, but in time I'm sure we'll see the Abate of old (Scudetto winning campaign).

Mm-hm. They should! However, we have wonderful 'Milan supporters' here who love to berate those players that bleed red and black for the club. For shame!

Rofl. Niff Nuffs with egg on their faces, again! To make matters worse, for them, he actually whipped in some sublime crosses! Back-to-back solid performances for the National team. Bravo!

As footballers, you're constantly learning. The moment you cease to believe you require improvement is the day you might as well give the sport away.

Abate wasn't gifted with sublime talent, he's gotten where he is today primarily on hard-work, dedication and passion. Abate himself candidly expressed this in several interviews in the past. So, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone else. A winger is known for his pace, ability to cross and...

People seem to forget Abate's natural position is a winger and is still learning to develop himself as a RB. Yet people only judge Abate on his crossing ability opposed to his defensive abilities. Played a huge role in Milan's Scudetto winning team in the 2010/2011 season being selected for the...

He was beaten by Messi once which lead to a goal. Should've covered the ball MUCH better, but underestimated Messi's pace and payed the price. Abate's shown he can defend well against some of the best attacking players in the world. However, he must have a thing for Milito's mother, or something.
