Football is a very present-tense game, it had to happen eventually. It would be great if he could retire in glory, though in truth if Maldini wanted that he should have retired in '04 or even last season, where our narrow misses would have at least provided a fitting metaphor of his Azzurri...

Too late to start another thread since there's already 54 posts as of now. ;) As for Maldini, it would've been a great send-off if we'd won the CL. Oh well, I guess he'll have to stick around until we do. ;) :D
