It would be a huge mistake to let this guy slip through our fingers, needs to be a priority signing. I'm not a fan of Salaemakers and I think Diaz has a much higher roof for potential growth.

Agreed. From all the minutes I've seen him play, he gives 100% each time. I'm also afraid he might slip through, but definitely worth the gamble. He's provided solid depth in that role when needed. I think also mentioned by Pioli was maybe trying him on the wing.

Always had faith in him, his talent and his spirit are true even if he had to learn a lot of things to become a consistent player

This 4-4-1-1 really fits him, and he has become better at carrying the ball into the final third.

Heard the rumor another year loan, which ill take. Rather have the outright purchase now. Hes got something special that he's shown in small doses all season. Now that he's been starting in the new formation, hes displaying much more.

Now that Hakan is moved out wide and Diaz in the middle, hes found his groove. Also, the fact that Diaz is fully capable of interchanging between either wing, makes him very versatile. Much love to this youngster.

While I would still very much like a new attacking mid to arrive, I think we're really underrating how good Diaz is and how good he can be.

In his first season in Italy, he had 4 goals and 4 assists in 1,228 minutes. Over a full season, thats 11 and 11. While that isn't realistic (he'll need to rest or get injured), he could hit 8 and 8 and be more productive than Hakan...

The guy has a ton of talent, and should continue to get better.

if he can stand in until Milan have the funds to buy a proper AM then he would have serve his purpose. Even if Real buys him back we still earn a tiny sum.

This young man gives heart everytime he plays. Hardly ever gives up and stays focused. He's perfect for us at this time.

He can't play trequartista at all. Just do 4-4-2 and have him as backup striker when everyone is injured/suspended. He plays like a poacher anyway, barely touches the ball for whole games. Bojan Krkic and Honda were both better than this guy.

not sure if agree
he often coming back to midfield, or joining some sides to make some fast passes,
or make runs from middle and trying to do something
maybe not often enough and not much visible around crowded 20th meters from goal

will wait half season to see him

Pioli su Diaz: "L'anno scorso giocavamo con un centrocampista, Brahim e un trequartista di qualita puro"

Moggster and Goodfella thought he failed miserably

He had a terrible performance until Theo came on.
The front 4 was a disjointed mess, with occasional individual brilliance(usually from Leao or Rebic).

Strongly disagree with Moggster's assessment of Diaz though.

Brahim is immensely talented, and one of our most dependable goalscorers. He's scoring even after a frustrating display.
I was all for keeping him over Twatoglu and he has done even better than expected, so far.
But he's also inconsistent(normal for a young inexperienced kid) and
his decision-making is shocking at times. He's a fantasista, not a midfielder. That is a strength and weakness, which needs to be compensated against certain type of opposition(hence Pioli's tendency to deploy Krunic or Twatoglu as LW/LM when Diaz started last season).

Proved me wrong, seems like he is more smart than im expected, his playmaking is better than hakan because he is better in thight spaces in front the box, right back have more scoring chances with diaz.

He has a bit of a poacher in him, whenever the ball is around the box area he just sprints in to push the ball in while many players just stands and look. You can see it clearly in the second goal against Liverpool after Theo's touch. He could easily have run for the rebound but he just stood there and watched the goal.
