It is the most demanding league in the world: both physically and tactically . That is why teams who do not have enough depth and quality in the rosters struggle from time to time. ( us, Lazio, Roma this year).

And if Lazio beats the rapidly dropping Sassuolo on Sunday, they are actually going to be part of the relegation battle. Hopefully that’s motivation enough for Sassuolo.

i'd rather play these relegation teams when they have something to play for or else they will just frustrate us defending.

Yeah but unlike conventional wisdom, these guys all have the technical quality to dominate teams like Milan for at least 30-40 minutes. As Napoli would attest to from yesterday. Empoli and SPAL especially are among the toughest fixtures during this stage of the season.

Have to say for how bad we've been recently, this season sure is exciting.

The race for CL is insane. Inter, us, Roma, and Lazio all having moments of greatness then being shit so it's really who drops more points loses out. Then Atalanta and Torino have also strong showing and could easily steal a CL place to be honest.

I just hope we're the team who lands 3/4th.

Your can use sarcasm as you want, but I know what I speaking of.
In fact , Serie A is very physically demanding and challenging league .
Many players struggled when they came initially to this league. Many young talents are advised not to come to Serie A due to extremely defensive tactical approach by 80% of the coaches and mostly tough game plans full of defensive and dirty teams ( most Frosinones and Chievos are butcher teams).

Torino has a better team than they have had in a long long time for example. Atalanta's team is much better than in recent history. Sapmdoria too. I think all 3 have better teams than they have had in say the last 15 years.

on the flip side Fiorentina, Roma and Lazio are worse than they usually are

So Atalanta back to another great run and a point behind us. Now in the 8 matches remaining, they have 4 away matches - against Inter, Lazio, Napoli and Juve!

What an end to the season. I’m still hoping for a miraculous scenario where Milan and Atalanta finish in the top 4.

inter and atalanta the hardest schedule

I don't think there are easy games anymore in Serie A, except maybe Chievo and Frosinone, who will not have any real motivation.

Atalanta level with us, Lazio could be too if they win the game in hand. We have better H2H against Atalanta, need a win vs. Lazio to get one against them too. I think H2H might be a huge deal the way the teams going for top4 seem to be so unpredictable.

Apart from the title race, Serie A is now much more competitive than it has been for the past years.

Lazio is also not a must-win. However it's super important to win from a mental point of view and a point of view of having necromancer and Hitchens in the stadium.

It is a must win. We need 3 pts to give up more breathing room and to beat them in Coppa semis.

Not that if we lose we don't reach CL, but more than we need a good tie-breaker against them and points to not fall behind cause of other tough games.

there are 4 teams challenging for 1 spot. someone is going to get that winning streak sooner or later. this is a must must win, there is 6 points at stake on this game not just usual 3.
