Spain are the only real special squad in this tournament tbh.

It's pretty weak.

Germany thought they could just roll over Mexico, bulldoze through them without a midfield tracking back. Allowing Kimmich to be play as a winger without any covering. While keeping their defense line near the halfway line.

It is just supreme arrogance and overconfidence in their attacking prowess. The team looked absolutely shocked at Mexico actually playing football, I bet they expected them to lay down for Germany like their opponents in qualifying. Lowe is just a poor man's Guardiola, a pale imitation of his greatness. His substitutes today just spelt out his naivety and incompetence.

Germany aren't winning without that defense. Both Kroos and Khedira need a DM. Boateng is lost. Hummels is as inconsistent as ever. They've both lost pace too.

Your hatred towards Germany is just so annoying and childish. It's so sad to watch. You must have had a really hard childhood, which you are definitely still in, given your dragonball z and manga fetish. Already bought the latest dolls and fighting game cards, little boy? Don't forget to trade your doubles for the shiny ones with the neighbors' son!

Germany was very aware of Mexico's qualities. They just go out from their own strength. Why does the world champion need to adapt his game to an inferior opponent? Löw did what he thought was best but failed, just like you fail all this time to post something decent.

And talking about naivety: Guardiola made some very poor decisions in the champions league during his time in Munich, not to mention City this year. In Barcelona he had a team full of stars, even Inzgahi could have won the CL with it.. I think he's an excellent coach, but everywhere he goes, he needs to spend like hundreds of millions of dollars to book some success.

lmao this is so cringe

Loew made the same mistake Lippi did with Italy in 2010 and Del Bosque with Spain in 2014. He thought that the stars from the previous WC would still perform at the highest level and so he made a very bad squad selection. Mueller was Germany's worst player today, Sami Khedira is trash, Hummels and Boateng were also laughable. Draxler?? lmao

Also yes, Sane is Germany's best player this season, Loew should've been sacked the moment he left him out of the squad.

Yeah.. and before that the whole federation danced to Maradona's tunes. I guess it's really difficult for Argentina to be professional.

Yeh thats Argentina for you. Which is why i have zero sympathy for Messi. If u gonna be a douchebag then better win it like Maradona.

Anyhow, this world cup is definitely more open than the last two. Spain winning 2010 and Germany winning 2014 were both relatively good bets. This time? I have no clue. Which just means it's the best chance for Cristiano Ronaldo to try win the first individual world cup since 1986.

Oh that would be Epic but dont think it would happen. Brazil hasnt made any obvious selection error.. is stacked .. with strong bench... and has a good balance. Dont want them or Spain to win though

Yeh not really.. italys avg age was about 70.. germany 28ish. Lippi should have learnt from the bitchslapping in confeds cup but didnt. Germany just needs to make a couple of changes and stop playing with such a high backline

It's a much more sophisticated var system they're using here. There's like 6 people in a booth looking at 12 screens and relaying what they see to the main ref in real time
