Borriello Better Than Huntelaar - Galliani
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani believes Marco Borriello is better than Klass Jan Huntelaar.

Borriello struck 19 times in Serie A last term and it was this red hot form that prompted the Rossoneri to call him back from his spell at Genoa.

Milan have been looking for a top hit-man with Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor and Chelsea’s Didier Drogba being touted as possible arrivals.

Huntelaar was also linked with a move to Italy but this doesn’t seem like it will be at Milan.

“We believe that Borriello is better than the Holland star,” Galliani told Antenna 3.

“Pavlyuchenko? He could arrive if Adebayor doesn’t come here. Sheva? Drogba? We’ll see.”

The Rossoneri have been huffing and puffing in the transfer market but they have not managed to bring down the house and sign a superstar.

Galliani himself did say that his club would not be spending mega-bucks in order to bring in the muscle.

Ronaldinho seems the likely target as Adebayor and Drogba will probably remain shackled at their clubs.

Borriello: 'I almost quit football'

Marco Borriello reveals he nearly had to end his career due to a horrific injury, but is back with a bang for Milan.

The striker netted both goals in the 2-0 victory over Parma this evening and played from start to finish.

“Just getting through it was already something, as I hadn't played a full 90 minutes at a high level for a year,” he confessed.

“I had a series of injuries and must thank the Milan medical staff for putting me back on track. I am now fully fit at last and feel good.”

The 27-year-old even reveals he almost didn't make the comeback this time around.

“I ran the very real risk of retiring. I was seriously considering stopping my career, as without that surgery to attach the muscle back to the tendon, it would've been impossible to carry on playing.

“I am very grateful to the surgeons who resolved that serious condition and now I'm ready to give my all for Milan.”

After this brace Borriello could feature in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Real Madrid, although Pippo Inzaghi still has the upper hand in Europe.

“The Coach makes his decisions, but the important thing is that I feel good and am ready when he needs me.”

I am by no means a Borri hater, or lover for that matter. But I must admit I owe him an appology. I underestimated his contribution to the team and he begining to play with real confidence.

Forza Borri and Milan!

Its not becauze of the goals it is simply becauze of contribution both of them gave to the field until NOW.What makes me feel better and happier is Galliani sensed it and secondly proved to some Indiannooby that he was destined to watch cricket.

Not bad Borriello, not bad. Now do that for an entire season and you got yourself a groupie. Until then youre still an unproven, suspectful quality, injury prone druggie.

At least we can start to call him BORIGOL now. Hopefully he can stay fit as on this form he is a valuable member of the team.

Four career goals with Milan doesn't warrant that nickname yet.
