Forzaaaaaaaaa.

Who's still out for this one?

I only want Calabria and Kjaer back.

Rebic
Krunic - Diaz - Saele
Kessie - Meite
Theo/Dal - Tomori - Kjaer - Calabria/Kalulu
Donna

Hakan, Tonali, Samu to re-energize the team in the 2nd half.
Ibra in if we're still chasing goals at the end.

Just no more fecking Theo-Dalot combo again....

Isn't it better to let Krunic play his natural position at AM and rather switch Diaz to LW? Judging by the latest Krunic LW experiment I wasn't very impressed.

I'd actually consider Saele LW and Samu RW. We don't need this game to be pretty, but a solid first XI defensively could prove crucial.

Just read that our forwards have scored 1 goal in our last 9 games. That's despicable.

why not rebic on lw?? krunic and leao play a lot lately and we have important game to win in serieA in sunday.

anyway interesting is what approach mu will have
all already know they need to score at least 1 goal and with 2 the game will probably end (because 2:2 promote mu for next stage)
so will they attack us from the start or just wait for a chance... they prefer counter attacks

other thing is who is healthy and ready to start :)

ManU has players back but we should score as fast as we can to demoralize them.

You guys are definitely favourites. I doubt Pogba starts as he's missed about 9 weeks and all of our forwards are out of form which leaves us relying on Bruno magic.

I expect to see something like;
---------------Henderson-----------------
AWB------Bailly------Maguire------Telles
-----------McTom------Fred--------------
Greenwood-----Bruno--------Rashford
------------------Martial------------------

With Pogba and Cavani on the bench. But who knows. Maybe Shaw since he is first choice LB - it depends how Ole wants to prioritise since we have Leicester in the FA Cup at the weekend.

I can see it being 0-0 or 1-0 to Milan, just because our forwards can't hit a barn door with a banjo atm. But....we are much better away from home. We've actually had record breaking results this season - it's been at home where we play like a pub team.

edit:

If we bring DDG back in and it goes to penalties, just know he hasn't saved a penalty since 2016 in all comps and 2014 in the PL. He's awful at them. He's not saved his last 19 penalties for United and is about 0/6 for Spain or something.

It failed miserably against Lille.
However a lot of things have changed since then.
Krunic improved, Hakan's form went to shit after COVID and the Krunic-Diaz combo worked in the first leg.

Rade was the 3rd man we needed in midfield, and the extra defensive cover we need to offset a liability like Dalot or Theo.

Rebic LW......who would be the CF?
Leao has fitness problems and shouldn't be starting anyway.
Ibra just got back, and we tend to be more solid defensively and better at countering with Rebic up front.
He'll be needed if Manure get the first goal and then park a bus.

This is what I'd like to see as well. If Diaz releases the ball just a touch quicker on the counterattacks I think we'll create quite a few good chances. Think Rebic will be able to get in behind their high line at least twice so hoping we are clinical in front of goal

rebic will not play in sunday so should start here and ibra with leao needs both take minutes in this game so can play for ~45 minutes each -probably ibra in first half and leao in 2nd when there will be more free space.

im afraid we will lack quality in attack - and if we start bad there wont be much hope for comeback.

and if ibra cant play for 45 minutes now why would he join nt??

Switch Krunic and Diaz and sign me up.

They'll move and interchange positions either way but as a starting point Krunic has had two very good games against Hellas and ManU starting from the Hakan position while Diaz didn't seem so useless at the wings as he always does when he plays behind the striker.

You know for sure that Ibra is going to play no matter what. If he can stand on his feet he's going to start. I don't think there's any doubt about that.

Just no Leao upfront please. It’s all I ask. He’s been shockingly bad there. I’m ok with :

——Rebic——-
Leao-Krunic-Saele

OR

—-Zlatan—-
Rebic-Krunic-Saele

I hope Padre don’t start Hakan and Bennacer.

You've never faced a back-4 where Dalot and Theo constitute 2/4 of it.

United's forwards tend to miss open goals this season so you could be fine :fp:

That's a shame Dalot hasn't impressed.

United are definitely favourites.

Better away from home, superior form coming into the match, better squad, fewer injuries.

Milan have an away goal but that is pretty much it in terms of things actually going our way.

In any case, we do have a chance and a decent one at that but we are not favourites.

I'd say it's 30/70.

1-1 is not much a big advantage. Its only one goal. It mean we qualify with 0-0 then it has no effect if goals are scored.

Stats are with us on this one. We're going through.

Historically united have struggled to score in san siro.

That's a shame Dalot hasn't impressed.

He has had some decent performances, but he?s probably the worst player on our team that plays regularly.

Shows that you didn't watch the first leg where we performed slightly better than ManU. The conditions will be relatively better for us in the second leg. So, logically we will have more than 50% chance of winning.
