it's very common in that part of the world
having no brag rights means people actually have to look at how silly they are.

either way, this picture is great IMO

Anybody but me pissed off that NBC commentators immediately run up to an American after ALL races....regardless of whether or not they won ? I know you're an amreican and all but quit trying to outdo Andy Gray!

Don't know what the big deal is. I'm sure the journalists who are there covering the games, focus on athletes from their own respective countries. Nothing new, it's hardly trying to emulate Andy Gray; it's like this every Olympics.

BTW, what's with all the American nitpicking.

must be their continuity and the lack of other way to see the games

i just read softball won't be counted as an Olympic discipline for 2012
:conf: i don't follow the sport but that's pretty ridiculous.

dnt worry GM men did the same, well not exactly the same the last guy ran far too early and ran out the 'box' (past yellow line) without having batton in hand so they got disqualified, but if u see the replay that guy ran stupidly early the runner was never gonna catch him to past the batton :D

they got back to 55-73

Argentina did real good for a while and got only 4 points away... but they are making dumb mistakes again.

I'm surprised, after the difficulty we've had against Argentina of late.

Ginobli only has 2 points after 3 quarters.

Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant have 19 and 12 points each after 3.

Ginobili is injured and hasn't played since the first quarter

they are all tired and it's pretty much over, no more fantasy come-backs :(

Sarah Stevens at taekwondo got a clear point not counted on at the end of her match vs her Chinese rival (her name is hard to remember :D ) and so the latter passed...

It's interesting how you get more emotions if you're connected to one country or it's residents. Congrats. You could have 2 golds if Bolt's parents would take him back to his planet.

But what turned Kanter, 29, into one of the unlikeliest Olympic celebrities was not just the medal, but how he celebrated it after his victory at the 91,000-seat National Stadium, known as the Bird's Nest. He was handed a blue, black and white Estonian flag and began to carry it around the track. His enthusiasm drew the crowd's attention.
