Kessie's absence will be felt. Best away team last season ,i hope Pioli continue with that trend, but this time also improve home record.

Putting all my hopes on that defense. As long as the back four stay solid we should win this. Bennacer might not be fit but I think Krunic also makes sense to help challenge Thorsby on high balls. If we play two midgets in midfield then he'll always win that header, especially with Brahim in front of them.
As usual I think the game will be won or lost on our left side. Candreva has to track Theo and I don't think he can all game, especially now we have Tomori on that side that can catch up with the space. Hopefully Leao tires them out for 60 minutes and then Rebic can finish them off on that side. I don't see us finding a way through anywhere else. Brahim will be suffocated and brutally closed down, Calabria and Saelemaekers will have their hands full with Damsgaard, and Giroud will be busy with two CBs. A midfield of Tonali and Krunic means we won't have that many quick transitions and will play lower than usual and with less of a high press, so more reason to think that we'll play deeper and try to overload the left with Theo and Leao running into space.
One moment i'm curious to see is how fast Maignan looks for Theo for a fast break with a long throw. This is something i'm very excited about this season, would love to see it at least once this game.

December and 5 points clear at the top of the table. What a start to the season that was...
We robbed them last time. Terrible performance, but we didn't have a forward. Rebic CF is such a bad, bad idea. Thank god for Giroud (and Pellegri) we don't have to suffer that again. I think people are underestimating how big of a difference it will be having a viable CF besides Ibra.

i really hope bennacer is fit enough to play at least one half/last 30 minutes. I really really dont want to see krunichinho play the whole match, thats suicide

Game day, highly hyped about it even though we had such an underwhelming transfer market.
Hopefully the new signings make a good impact, and my biggest worry is how Diaz will elevate his game..if he manages to do so at all.
