I like him, he has got a good physique, strong, got decent pace, technique. Hopefully this kid will get some game time, he sure stands out amongst the other primevera kids. About time we get a strong kid from there, they are all usually pretty damn scrawny. 188 cm and 81 - 82 kgs, pretty strong kid.

What do you mean? He's not hyped. People are just saying he had a good game and could be a good back-up while Pazzo is out.

I was referring to the dramatic black n white picture

Ballon D'Or 2016.

No, he won't. As I said before, the kid is a bulldozer; however, his overall technique is non-existent. I am pretty sure that Petagna knows his limitations and it is trying to polish his strengths.

Vieri, Rooney, Drogba, Klose etc are all awesome "bulldozers" who all rely heavily on their strength. Adriano and Ibra are "bulldozers" too but are also insanely skilled as well. Overall, you'd notice that their careers were all pretty much comparable, despite differences on skill level. At one time or another, ALL might have been in contention for the golden ball. Hence, my point is that he doesn't need Ibra's skill level / skillset to make it to the top.

if his technique was bad he wouldn't have made it through the primavera. I don't think he's the most talented on the ball but he seems fairly competent

After watching more of this kid, I like him as a true striker. Big, strong, holds the ball and scores goals.

I think I might prefer him to Niang as our back up CF. Balotelli then Pazzini the Petagna.

niang hasnt looked good lately. Fast, but i havent seen from him what i thought i did last season.

I think he'll be more useful than Niang this season. Definitely will score some goals

good forwarding. not much @ playmaking:p

I love this guy. For such a big bloke he has pretty good technique. Hopefully he gets some spoils thoe that might not happen with balotelli never getting anything but full 90mins

This kid keeps on impressing. Seems to have the full package.

Speed, strength, technique but most importantly intelligence & goals!

Can't believe he turned 18 barely 1 month ago!

IMO he's proved more in 2 matches than Niang in 20.
