Did anyone read the reports on the new WC format for 2026? If true, they might be just as bad as human rights abuses in Qatar
Apparently they will have 12 groups of 4 teams, and matches in the group stage that end in a draw will have penalty kicks to decide the winner. Also the point scoring system will change, apparently if you win you get 3 points, you lose you get 1 (yuck!), if you draw and win on PK you get 2 points and you lose on PK you get 1 point... are they going to turn this into the special olympics or what the hell are they doing rewarding teams for losing? maybe its another scheme to get the Europeans to advance even when they play like shit
