I disagree. Anyone would have done the same if they had been in that situation. And I’m not justifying this for patriotism. No, even in club football that’s a fair play in my book. This is football and there are rules. He committed a foul for which he was punished. End of storyThe ball was 100% going in if he didn't stop the ball like a GK with his hands. A penalty on the other hand never is a 100% chance. But the rules of football don't allow 100% justice in that case so that's it.
However he then went on smiling and celebrating and thinking he's the king of the world because he did something incredible heroic or classy (yes he does think that). He thinks those are the values and principles that young children should be taught and showed through football. He thinks a whole country owes him and people should build him a statue.
Nah, fuck him. No one cheated that's right but Suarez is the embodiment of anti sportive behavior for me. Eternal prick. He deserves every bit of hate for that incident.
Players do all kinds of shit fouls to avoid conceding especially crucial goals. Look at Valverde in Jeddah, for example, against Atleti. Also Ramos at San Siro against Atleti in CL final.. just because Suarez’s was on goal line doesn’t make it worse imo..
A lot of ppl don’t like Suarez but for different reasons. That handball, although dramatic, was a normal play
