AC Milan Vs. Liverpool FC - Champions League Final

The teams for the final have been decided. Both went through with hard fought wins. Milan has looked vulnerable for the last 3 halves of European soccer plus that game at Fiorentina didnt look that convincing. I still think we're taking both championships but we need some work.

We've had a lot more than the 3 or 4 crap matches you mentioned, Dada, but with our *inexhaustible* luck there's little to worry. I don't think we need *work*, we simply can't do better this season against teams with a cartain type of play + a certain passion, but we can count on our luck. Against Liverpool, even if they've looked fairly organized as of recently (but only in the CL) + maybe defend a lil better than PSV we won't need half as much as tonight.

I'm really looking forward to this game, but beating Liverpool will not be an easy task , both clubs have a proud european history and I think we can be sure of great Final.

How Many YEARS I waited for Liverpool 2 get Far in the the Champions League and how I wanted AC Milan to get to the Finals after the Heartbreak of Deportivo last season but never ever in my wildest dreams did it occur that both my teams will get to the final!
Just seeing this Title Thread is crazy it does not sink in it is soo surreal!!!!!! I feel i have already won the Champions League LOL!

experience in champions league will probably play an important role in the final. if we compare coache's experience we could say ancelotti has a little bit more since this is he's second champions league final while rafa has his second european final but his first champions league final. if you look at both squads milan has only 3 players that have never played a champions league final cafu, crespo, and kaka, remember im talking only about the usuall 11. cafu has 3 world cup finals so i think that makes up for never ever playing a champions league final. on the other hand i don't think any liverpool player has ever played a champions league final. correct me if im wrong. milan players will probably have less pressure than what they did 2 years ago against juve. but still theres alot of pressure. same goes to liverpool. how the players handle the pressure that is what will change the game on may 25th

Fernando Morientes has 3 Champions League titles and 4 final appearances, but he's cup-tied, so you're right in a way.

The good thing

is that Serie A will have been decided by 25th may..this way or that..and so we can have a Milan team..fresher (compared to yesterday) & fitter.
We have performed all season admirably and to come this close and get out would have been unjust. Thankfully Ambro has kept the double dream alive. I think Liverpool dont have the pace like PSV to trouble us..and moreover they dont have wingers like PSV. Right through the season its been set pieces & wingers who have caused us concern. I see a good chance that #7 is coming to us.

You're right Liverpool would be easier to play against thatn Liverpool, but equally I am happier to play Milan in the final rather than PSV as they looked very good in the 2 games.

We defend like an Italian team and we might not have the pace on the wings but we have in attack with Baros and Cisse. Gerrard and Alsonso in midfield and Hamann in front of the back four means it will be difficult to break us down.

I'm sure it will be an excellent game and look forward to seeing you all in Istanbul

if we play like we play against psv we dont't have many chances for winning in the final of CL .. we must play with two strikers that is play that milan play whole seasone i dont know way anceloti changes that in some new formation that players don't know to play...

i hope that milans bench saw mistakes
only thing that i know liverpool is going in that final with full strenght because this is they first final in last 20 years ,

Ha-ha! We beat Depor at the Riazor 4-0, 2 seasons ago! The accident that you refear to is somewhat isolated. Anyway, I was talking about Serie A games. Got nothing to do with the UCL or Liverpool.

Let us not repeat the same performance against PSV in the final at Istanbul....the game was completely frustrating from start to finish....3 weeks are more than sufficient for us to regain our momentum and play the sort of football that we're used to......may the best team wins and hopefully, the lads will do all of us proud in Istanbul...

Champions League

Milan for a 7th Champions League??? I hope so but after that match last night, I am begining to have my doubts as to how strong the team are going to be. After watching the match last night between Milan and PSV, it brought back the memories of Deportivo in La Corunia. We were playing Catanaccio style again which is too defensive and were too complacent if you ask me. We have the skill and experience to be so much better, so why not use it. If we are to keep Liverpool from scoring against us we will need to play a more attacking game and stop Liverpool from getting the ball in the first place. Milan have to play alot better if they are to beat Liverpool in my opinion. I am like Berlusconi in that we need to play with 2 strikers from the very start and not to leave it all to Sheva.
Does anyone else have views that they would like to share about this match and the Champions League Final?

Games are different, chances are we won't play the same way we did yesterday, we may even play defensive but in a more organized and smart way and win it.
Ancellotti most see yesterday's game and realized what mistakes he did(uhm..Seedorf) in order to not make it again.

Actually we have four games to play if you include the away game against Udinese at the Friuli. I fear though that if Milan don't beat the Old Slut on Sunday they will not win the Scudetto. If they beat them they will then need 2 wins and a draw to be champions.
