There are three finalist to winning the award.

Drogba,
Essien,
Eto'o.

Samuel Eto'o has won it for the last 3 years, this is his 4th year running. I personally think Eto'o should win it. Coz I really hate the Club the others two hail from. Plus, Eto'o has had the honour of 'performing' to win the UEFA Champion's League. Currently, Drogba and Essien are in top form, but that might change in a few weeks, as Eto'o returns to fitness.

Mate, hard to choose but whoever wins it deserves it nonetheless.

Poll please?

As much as I hate Barca + like Essien and Drogba, I think Eto'o deserves this one. He won the UCL + his absence @ Barca can't be ignored.

If they decide along European voting patterns + put emphasis on performance on the WORLD stage, Eto'o would be shit out of luck. It's hard. CL winning Eto'o + Essien have been more consistent + deserve it a little more than Drogba who's only been kicking ass since August + had a rather disappointing WC.

So yea... Eto'o.

I think Essien deserves it, Eto'o has been out for half of the season + didn't even play at the World Cup. While Drogba had a rather disappointing World Cup, but is great since the begining of the season. Essien has been great the whole year & at the World Cup, So I say Essien deserves it.

1- Essien.
2- Drogba.
3- Eto'o.
