That's the impression I have when I read some of your posts. Especially the Crespo + Stam-related ones. But nobody is perfect + since it doesn't take much effort to think for 2 people I will keep enlightening you.

Or sth.

First of all, Stam seems to have a very persistent injury problem. Yes, he is OUT again, undergoing physiotherapy. Frankly, I start thinking Milan will end up with little value for the money they paid which might not be of any concern to you, but hey.. it is to me + I hate to see money wasted like this. 'Best defender in the world' means nothing when he can't prove it to the club that pays his salary + btw, wasn't it you guys who claimed he was signed to be an immediate reinforcement.. to guarantee trophies + whatnot ? ;) Yeayea, life isn't always so predictable. I had exactly those concerns, cos of his physique + his age.. but I was ridiculed here by the ilk of you. Hm, guess I'm not that clueless after all :o

Latest news about Gila:

Gilardino in Milan hint - Monday 22 November, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Parma hotshot Alberto Gilardino seems to have his eyes on a transfer to Italian giants Milan.

The youngster has been heavily linked with the Rossoneri and he now admits he’d be happy to join the San Siro outfit.

"It is my dream to play alongside Andriy Shevchenko," he told Controcampo. "I think I would do well alongside him.

"I could play as the main target man, while he could come from a deeper position. There would be nothing better than partnering Sheva.

"He definitely deserves to win the Golden Ball. He always seems to score goals. He’s the best striker around."

Milan are believed to be interested in the Azzurri ace even if the club have recently ruled out any January signings.

But Gilardino has seemingly opened the door for a switch as soon as the transfer window opens in the New Year.

"Parma and myself have come to an agreement that I will remain until June but football is a strange game," he stated.

Milan do have offensive problems given that only Shevchenko is regularly finding the back of the net.

Pippo Inzaghi is sidelined until February with injury, while both Hernan Crespo and Jon Dahl Tomasson are struggling for form.

Oh come on now, this ain't no Championship Manager lol.
Of course he'd join us, is just the matter of time, I wish Galliani uses his brain a bit, lately you could say for sure he wasn't.
I wanna hear the big trio saying YES-GILARDINO-JANUARY

Well you always want someone who loves this club and they're many of them who does, inluding Bazani from Sampdoria. But hey, Gilardino is world class, with him partnering Sheva, we'd have finest duo in the world.

in my opinion, gilaridino is a good striker, not an exceptional striker. if we got gilardino, i don't think he'd improve us that much. he's definetly an uprgrade from crespo or inzaghi or tomasson, but i think there are better players out there. i think that if we got fernando torres, and he got time to settle, we would have the best strike force in the world.

hey dude... time is a factor here... if we are going to wait for torres to settle down... then i rather bring back jose mari instead... right now...

as for gilardinho... he is proving himself to be an "exceptional" player... simply bcos he is providing the goals for parma, when there isnt much help to score goals for parma... get the picture????

in conclusion we should get gilardinho... has proven his worth both domestically and internationally

I agree at best Gil is in the 'very good' mold. I doubt he has the scope of a Zaltan (Juv) with the potential of being one of the worlds best.

However im sure he'd be a good player for us and i love to have him at the club.

Its strange to compare him to Torres. From what i have seen isnt Torres is more your deep, running striker while Gilardino is your poster boy target man. A poor mans Adriano if you like.

I can't agree totally about what you said, I'm sure Gilardino would improve a lot comin' to ACM, maybe even more then we except, 'cause he scores contstantly for Parma wheater they play good or bad, and this season so far they've been worst!
I was never fan of Torres not sure why, the guy doesn't impress me as much Gila does but he would be a nice singing.

you're absolutley right about torres...but i wasn't comparing the two strikers directly, i was comparing which would be the better striker for us. we don't play with a target man, we play with 2 mobile forwards. torres is phenomenaly fast and skillful, i think him and kaka would tear any defence apart. and as shevchenko isn't getting any younger, i think in the long run torres could replace him. i don't think gilardino has the quality to replace shevchenko and be the striker we depend on to win.

gilardino is a very good player, i'm not disputing this...i agree with melbourne 100% though, in that he doesn't really have the potential to become the world's best striker. would he be useful here? hell yeah, but i think that we would be a better side with torres. now, if silvio gets out his checkbook in january and buys gilardino for 20 million, i'll be as happy as anyone here. (i'd be even happier if he bought torres though. )

Gilardino can do it as he has proven, even if he doesn't quite deliver right now, but I chalk this up to him being fed up with no-future Parma + being desperate to move on.

I've always had a hunch about Torres not delivering in Serie A, call it prejudice, I don't care....

Maybe we should bring that Italian kid home to Italy from Arsenal, such a shame he is there in the first place.. What's his name... Lupoli.. Yea, he's gonna be a star soon.

im just wondering how do you know there is such a kid over there... that is going to be a star....

plus gilardinho is good... though he may not be a classy player like the likes of maldini, nesta, cafu, stam, pirlo, gattuso, seedorf, kaka, shevchenko, crespo... but he will deliver the goods... he is similiar to inzaghi... always the underated and a played down player.... sigh

milan should get him... or get cassano... it high time we need some young blooded italian forward on our side...

Id be more than happy with Torres.

alot of people have a go at him but how many of you have seen him play? The kid is already a star. In a team with Sheva, Kaka, Pirlo etc. he could reach this full potential which is very high.

yes dude, torres might or will reach his full potential with along with our players... but the question is how long will he take??? and is there a chance that he will or will not perform as many as expected??? plus cassano and gilardinho is already proving themselves in serie-a though their respective team isnt doing well... furthermore... with the kind of players at our disposal, dont you think that both cassano or even gilardinho will reach their respective high or even greater???

plus how many spanish players actually shine or at least perform well in serie-a...

ah...

If Torres reaches his potential he will be one of the worlds best strikers. In the class on Henry, Sheva, Ronaldo currently. He is already a very good player. ie. Eto, Cassano, Rooney etc.

To have him at the club now would be a huge boost for Milan. To have him in Milan, devolping further would be a bonus. He is currently good enough to play in our team, and to score 20+ goals in Seria A. Do not worry about how long it'll take. The Torres of the current is a gun.

Yes, a non-Seria A player is a risk, but one id love the club to take. Yes, i think our players would bring out the potential in any player that came to the club. However i think Gil is very good but doubt he can be as good as the Cassanos, Zaltans or Torres.

I dont want Cassano. Very Totti like in his attitude.

what you say will be good "If Torres reaches his potential"... well dude... "if torres doesnt reach his potential" whats gonna happen to all the money we spent that we could have spent on gilardinho or cassano...

as for cassano's attitude... well i think he is slowly maturing... give time and he will calm down and come to his senses... and which player wont get worked up if the club has lost its main driving force(capello) and falling apart...

then again about gilardinho... well u think he might not be as the same class.. well frankly speaking he has and been scoring goals... and the reason why im so impress with him, is simply because he can score goals for parma who isnt doing well at all...

what u say might be true... he may be not as the same class as cassano and zlatan... but he is well ahead better compared to trez and inzaghi... whom serves well than cassano and zlatan... and are doing so well with juventus and us milan (except the fact that they are both injured at present)...

dude... im sorry if this message is twisted ... bcos im in a hurry to go out and my sister whom is suppose to drop me off isnt ready... sigh
